ROCHESTER, N.H. – -(AmmoLand.com)- Thompson/Center Arms Company, Inc., a Smith & Wesson company, announced that it has begun shipping the new T/C® Venture™ bolt-action rifle. Entering the market at an aggressive price point, the T/C Venture offers the craftsmanship of a high-end model with a host of custom features not found on other bolt-action rifles in its class. This combination of custom features and consistent reliability makes the new T/C Venture the most accurate, well-crafted bolt-action rifle for under $500.

Featuring a level of craftsmanship that is synonymous with Thompson/Center Arms, the new T/C Venture is designed to exceed all quality and accuracy levels available at this affordable price point. Manufactured with accuracy-driven consumers in mind, the T/C Venture features a Thompson/Center Arms precision barrel with 5R rifling and match grade crown. The T/C Venture is guaranteed to be MOA (Minute of Angle) accurate, capable of shooting 3 shots in a one-inch group at 100 yards.

“Support for the new T/C Venture has been extremely strong,” said Tom Kelly, Vice President of Marketing for Smith & Wesson. “Following the tremendous reception and reputation of the T/C ICON®, many consumers had asked us to deliver another bolt-action rifle that would carry the accuracy and reliability standards that Thompson/Center is known for all in a rifle that would retail under $500. The new T/C Venture clearly answers that demand. Such features as the precision barrel, externally adjustable trigger, 5R rifling, roller burnished bolt receiver and classic style stock, really put the T/C Venture in a class of its own. We are so confident in the performance of the Venture, that we guarantee each rifle will shoot one-inch groups at 100 yards.”

The T/C Venture comes standard with a classic styled composite stock, featuring inlayed, traction grip panels that give the rifle a distinct look and positive feel. A fat bolt design with 60-degree lift provides more room between bolt and scope and a super-smooth action. Other features on the rifle include an adjustable 3.5 to 5 pound trigger, a drilled and tapped receiver (with bases installed) for easy installation of optics and QD sling swivel studs. The T/C Venture includes a single stack 3+1 detachable magazine. The rifle is currently available in .270, .30-06, 300 Win. Mag., and 7mm Mag.

The rifle is made in America and backed by T/C’s lifetime warranty. For more information (and Hi-Res images) on the T/C Venture or the complete line of Thompson/Center Arms firearms and accessories, visit www.tcarms.com.
