Montezuma, Iowa –-(AmmoLand.com)- During 2009, the members of Brownells GunTech Staff took time away from answering customer questions to pass along their knowledge in various areas of the gunsmithing trade. Taking turns, all members of the group taught classes at several gunsmithing schools across the country.

According to Brownells CEO, Frank Brownell, “We’ve always believed that sharing information freely will make the gunsmithing profession stronger. It’s an honor to be able to send our guys out to share what they know. Our GunTechs have helped develop the products and processes they teach about, they know ‘how-to’ better than anyone.”

Almost 160 students attended 10 different classes at schools including Montgomery Tech, Trinidad State Junior College, Murray State College, Wabash Community College and Pennsylvania Gunsmithing School. Classes covered Alternate Finishes, Custom Bluing, AR-15/M16 Maintenance and Repair, Gunstock Refinishing and 1911 Building.

In addition to sending their GunTechs on the road, Brownells also hosted a weeklong series of classes on the Remington 870 and 700, Colt M16/AR-15 and 1911, plus a one day Glock Armorer Class – all taught by factory experts – at their Montezuma, Iowa facility.
