WARSAW, Illinois – -(AmmoLand.com)- Be nice to geeks-one day you’ll be hunting with one. Or at least like one, when the tech wizards over at HuntGeek.com have their way.

After years of prowling the heartland for game (and waiting for the Matrix prophecies to come true) the whiz kids at HuntGeek.com realized no other company has positioned itself to tackle iPhone or mobile device apps for the hunting market.

While you were in your tree stand grunting and rattling, the geek gurus from HuntGeek.com were over in theirs writing computer code in their camouflage lab coats, calculating how to bring home more venison by hunting smarter, not just harder.

Obsessed? Heck even their Labs have lab coats. Unleash the Geeks!

“We love big antlers as much as the next guy, but what really turns us on is killer hunting and fishing technologies that max out time spent afield,” says Jeff Hughes, Lead Dorkitecht for HuntGeek.com. “Besides…hunting is neat!”

For instance, their new app Shooting Hours will calculate to the minute when you can legally shoot, and send a thrilling vibration ring from your phone to your freezing nethers that says “game on.” (Brilliant, though the true inspiration may be partially rooted in geeky fear of the dark.) Another new GPS-oriented app under development will mark trails, rublines and scrapes to take the guesswork out of chasing whitetails by exploiting GPS technology, while neutralizing every geek’s fear of getting lost.

“We just want to help people have fun in the outdoors,” says HuntGeek.com Chief Enginerd, Jim Stolis. “We’re here to put the kill back in ‘killer app.'”

Being tech-savvy outdoor fanatics, Team HuntGeek cares less about bragging rights and more about helping outdoorsmen and other companies fulfill their vision and needs.

“It is our great hope these apps help hunters everywhere have a better time and more success in the field,” Stolis said, “while making outdoor chicks think we’re totally AWESOME.”

Inspiration is broad-based. After Hughes and Stolis successfully fought through their depression upon learning that Pandora isn’t real, Avatar was just a movie, and none of us will ever have a 9-foot tall blue archery partner, they took matters into their own hands by designing apps that give modern outdoor warriors powers that are out of this world.

Their objective? Building wicked smart easy-to-use phone tools that are not of this planet, and they are doing it quickly. The Shooting Hours app is already launched and many more geektacular applications are in the development pipeline.

With some 13 apps in the wings and plans already in place to work with major TV personalities, HuntGeek.com is taking the hunting world by storm. Early field reports indicate deer are unimpressed, but fall is just around the corner. Fear the Geek!

Call up HuntGeek.com, and dork up some wicked smart hunting tech! Ah, neat!
