Morrisville, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Collaborative product design and development firm Montie Design has expanded its innovative line of recreational shooting equipment to include high-end accessories with its first-ever piece of functional furniture, the Tactical Table.

The Tactical Table is stylishly designed with aluminum, stainless steel, and glass to reflect a recreational firearms theme similar to the company’s popular X-Rest and AR-Rest shooting rests.

“X-Rest owners were getting back to us with compliments about the attractive styling of the equipment in addition to its functionality,” Montie Roland, company president, said, adding, “We wanted to do something fresh and different, so we designed the Tactical Table.”

The Tactical Table features legs and trusses water jetted out of sturdy aluminum, the same material as the blocks that hold the leg assemblies together. A 36″ glass top and 24″ glass shelf allow views of the bottom of the table which reflect a style reminiscent of girder architecture used in bridges and military designs. All told, the Tactical Table boasts a 39″ x 39″ footprint and is17.5″ tall with a 6.25″ clearance between the glass top and shelf.

“This is a piece of furniture that can support active use in a crazy place like our foyer, while being stylish enough to be a real conversation piece in an executive’s office or in the home,” Roland said, adding, “It’s on par design-wise with anything you could find in a high-end furniture store.”

“The table was an exercise in taking the design language from existing Montie Design products and extending them into a piece of furniture,” Michael Poorman, the table’s designer, said.
