Fountain Valley, CA –-(AmmoLand.com)- SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products, has released a new handheld searchlight/spotlight designed and manufactured to meet the needs of the extreme professional or the extreme flashlight aficionado.

The new M3LT CombatLight is a dual-output LED flashlight that generates an overwhelming 400 lumens of light on its high setting—20 times the light of comparably sized two-D-cell flashlight—and 70 lumens of extended-runtime light on low.

The M3LT’s beam is the product of its virtually indestructible, ultra-high-output four-die LED working in conjunction with a special Turbohead Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens. The large-diameter (2.5 inches) TIR lens gathers virtually all of the LED’s light, shapes it, and projects it forward. But not at the cost of a lot of additional weight or bulk—the flashlight weighs only 10.9 ounces, with batteries, and is less than nine inches in length, making it portable and maneuverable enough to carry through the roughest terrain.

All SureFire flashlights are designed to be used in combat-like conditions so they’re built accordingly. Like all SureFire flashlights with the “CombatLight” moniker, the M3LT features SureFire’s patented CombatGrip: a stepped-down body and rubber grip rings that provide an excellent hold in cold or wet weather, and especially while wearing gloves. The M3LT’s body is constructed of aerospace aluminum that’s hard anodized with a durable Mil-Spec finish nearly as hard as diamonds. O-ring seals and gaskets protect the sophisticated internal electronics from the elements.

An intuitive tailcap switch allows for easy, no-look operation. Partially depressing the tailcap momentarily activates the low beam; pressing all the way provides all 400 lumens. Twisting the tailcap partially activates the low beam in constant-on mode; twisting further activates the high beam in constant-on.

And a soon-to-be-released strobe model—the M3LT-S—will deliver 400 lumens of strobing light, designed for use as an emergency beacon or to disorient an aggressor. Pressing the tailcap rapidly three times will activate the strobe.

The M3LT has an MSRP of $450 and is currently available for purchase from SureFire, at www.surefire.com or through authorized SureFire dealers.
