EPPING, NH (August 17, 2010) – The world renowned SIG SAUER Academy, located in Epping, New Hampshire, hosted their first Steel Challenge Shooting Event on July 31, 2010.

The Steel Challenge is fast becoming one of the most popular shooting competitions in the country with scores based on skill and speed shooting.

A large turn-out of 57 competitive shooters turned up at the SIG SAUER Academy including Max Michel, the Team Captain for the SIG SAUER Shooting Team.

Six divisions were represented in Open, Rimfire Open, Limited, Production, Rimfire Limited and Revolver Open.

There were eight SCSA course-of-fire stages featuring targets anywhere from 7 yard to 35 yards.

Door prizes were awarded including a SIG SAUER P229 Airsoft pistol, a SIG SAUER Stoplight and laser and a SIG SAUER mini dot sight.

Winners were as follows:

  • Max Michel took the Open Division with a final total score of 80.76.
  • Dave Parker of Dracut, Mass., won the Rimfire Open Division with a final score of 85.73 and Revolver Open with a score of 115.35.
  • John Sardina of Billerica, Mass., took the Limited Division with a final score of 134.14.
  • Joe Quintillio of Surrey, NH won the Production Division with a score of 138.44 and the Rimfire Limited with a score of 154.58.

That's awesome! I just got in to airsoft recently too and I love it 🙂 I get all my airsoft stuff from airsplat.com because they have the largest selection of the actual high end guns that are replicas of the training weapons.

good stuff! I just got into airsoft recently, its awesome because the guns are so realistic. And there are so many options, its totally like using a real gun. I bought a really nice pistol from Airsplat.com at a really good price!

This is really cool. I have a sig airsoft pistol. I have a P226 that I got from airsplat.com and it is really awesome. So much so that now I am looking into getting the real thing. If you are looking for something that would bee a really great training aid I would definitely check out airsplat.com. They have really great prices, and all of the guns they sell come with a really awesome warranty.
