Groton, CT --(Ammoland.com)- The Connecticut Citizens Defense League today announced their endorsement of Jerry Labriola Jr. for Connecticut State Republican Party Chairman. Mr. Labriola announced his candidacy earlier this week after former front runner William Aniskovich abruptly withdrew from the race.

As the members of the Republican State Central Committee will meet next Tuesday, June 28th, to vote on the next chairman of the organization time is short and the CCDL wanted to get their endorsement in quickly. T

here are at least six candidates currently in the race.

“Jerry has been with the CCDL since day one.” said Scott Wilson, President of the CCDL.

“We were thrilled to hear that he would be entering this race. The members of the Executive Committee voted earlier today and unanimously agreed that Jerry deserves our support. His stance on firearm ownership is an example to all who would seek our support.

Jerry really gets the core issues and understands that we are interested in the same things as everyone else: the safety of our communities and families. His involvement will help ensure that the Republican party is a friend to gun owners state wide.”
