AUSTIN, Texas –-(Ammoland.com)- Texas College Republicans (TCR) seek the addition of campus carry to the current special session of the Texas Legislature.

The Texas Senate has passed campus carry in the past two legislative sessions, only to find it blocked from receiving a vote in a strongly supportive House of Representatives.

TCR Chair Steve Lettunich has stated,“We’d like to recognize the hard work of those within the legislature that have helped keep campus carry on the forefront, such as Senator Jeff Wentworth, Representative David Simpson, and the many other supporters of the issue. But the fight is not over yet.

“Governor Perry has also continually expressed his support of campus carry. As he adds issues to the special session, we ask that he continue his support and consider the addition of campus carry.”

TCR is the official statewide federation of College Republicans chapters and a member of the College Republican National Committee (CRNC), the official collegiate arm of the Republican Party. TCR has 35 chapters and over 2500 members within those chapters.
