MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. –-(Ammoland.com)- After more than two decades of limited innovation in the industry, BROWE, Inc. manufacturer of premium quality optical systems for military, law enforcement, hunting and the shooting sports, has set a new standard in quality, performance and functionality with the introduction of its new Browe Titanium 4X32 Combat Optic (BCO).

“After years of interaction with the police and military communities it became clear there was an opportunity to develop a product that was specific to their unique requirements,” said Brian Browe, president of BROWE, Inc. “The Browe Combat Optic is the result of years of continuous research, development and improvement. It has numerous tactical advantages over the antiquated design and technology of the optics currently in use which gives users a significant edge.”

The BCO is a purpose designed and built optic ideally suited for tactical scenarios and well suited for military, police and sportsmen. Its state-of-the-art precision grade titanium design makes it compact and light weight, yet nearly three times stronger than its aluminum counterparts, enhancing its ability to survive the rigors of field abuse under the most severe environmental conditions.

The BCO’s list of evolutionary technology is long and includes such features as:

  • Target Light Sensor Technology – Measures the target light levels and automatically adjusts the brightness to properly contrast while avoiding sensor errors. A sensor in the light path behind the objective lens, provides greater sensitivity and accuracy by automatically adjusting the reticle to match target lighting conditions, not ambient lighting. When operating in urban areas, light conditions can vary from well illuminated streets to light subdued alleys and dark building interiors. When nanoseconds count there is no time to make manual illumination adjustments or search for a poorly illuminated reticle. The scopes optical axis was engineered to also allow perfect alignment and compatibility with other optical devices including low light/night vision, FLIR thermal imaging and others etc.
  • Single Intuitive Control (SIC) – Gives the user a simple button designed to simulate muscle memory and expedite manual operation.
  • BCO Microcontroller – The brain of the BCO and unique to the industry, this microcontroller is capable of being re-flashed with alternative programs via a sealed flash port. This port can be used to flash new updated operating programs or to customize the existing program. It can also be used to power accessories or plug in a remote pressure pad switch
  • Vibration Motion Sensor – Designed to conserve battery life by placing the BCO in SLEEP mode if motion is not detected after two hours. The BCO has an average battery life of 2000 hours with a minimum of 720 hours on max brightness. In the sleep mode, the battery has a life expectancy of 13,000 hours and Lithium 123A has a shelf life of 10 years

The BCO also combines next-in-class features such as high quality optical glass, high precision machining, and rugged military design. All lenses are precision ground of the finest quality optical glass available and are broad band anti-reflective coated, possessing excellent light gathering capabilities even under low light conditions. The BCO’s multiple mounting areas are integrated into the housing design, which allows for easy addition of add on accessories such as lens covers, dust covers and laser filters. As a result of the elimination of the superfluous lens hood found on other products, these accessories mount positively to the optic via internal threads rather than with large clumsy rubber bands as used on other currently fielded products.

The BCO enhances the speed at which an operative can acquire a site picture and successfully engage a target, making the difference in operational success.
