NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- NSSF reports that overall U.S. imports (in units) for July in six sporting arms and ammunition categories declined 6 percent compared to July 2010.

July 2011 imported units in tracked categories totaled 150,667,459, down from 160,283,689 reported in July 2010.

Individually, the rifle category was up 80.2 percent, from 31,938 to 57,549 units, followed by the shotgun category with an 18.4 percent increase (44,748 to 52,986 units). See a complete breakdown of each category’s July import data.
