New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Says Let Microstamping Rest in Peace

ALBANY, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Putting aside the flair for the hysterical in use by pro-microstamping forces, and claims that the blocking of microstamping legislation will hinder police investigations – thus making the streets of New York more dangerous: the only response that can be offered is “here we go again”!

The hype, the hysteria, and the half-truths roll off the tongues with such fervor that we can only ask: Are the political proponents of microstamping that badly misinformed, or do they simply want to ignore the facts to shove more bogus, ill-conceived, and dubious technology down the throats of New Yorkers and into law?

The arguments and promises about current microstamping technology, law enforcement needs, the supporting characters, and the disregard for independent research results are the same tactics used eleven years ago to foist the recently-repealed CoBIS law on the citizens of New York.

Microstamping is not reliable and is easily defeated. It is supported only by the patent holder, those anti-Second Amendment forces wanting all guns out of private hands, and the politically-motivated associations who depend on the political process for their continued existence.

We have always said that this is about freedom rather than guns, and the sponsor of the microstamping legislation confirmed that on March 20, 2012, when she said “the legal gun owners of New York are going to have to give up some of their Liberties”.

Here we go yet again this the “liberal” view. This woman as well as anyone in Albany with a “D” after their name need to go back to school and learn the Constitution and bill of rights. It seems the criminals always have more “rights” while we are supposed to give ours up so we can be easily taken over by the “King” and his minions in Albany.
Remember an armed law abiding person is a citizen…a disarmed law abiding person is a SUBJECT!
