Why Do Federal Agencies Need 1 Billion Rounds of Ammo Delivered Before Dec 31, 2012?

Why Do Federal Agencies Need 1 Billion Rounds Of Ammo

Washington, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- ” I’m from the Government and I’m here to help”, one of the most simultaneously laughable and also frightening jokes made about the utter ineptitude and often downright vicious mindset that populates far too much of the Federal Leviathan.

Much has been made over the last month or so about the 6,000 rounds of ammunition Aurora Colorado Shooter James Holmes had acquired, with breathless commentary from the know-nothing usual suspects in the media and political circles about how “no one needs that much ammunition unless they are up to something “. A patently ridiculous idea that reveals only the ignorance of those that would make such comments, since 6,000 rounds of ammunition is hardly a large quantity, something I wrote about previously.

Forgetting for a moment the numerous perfectly lawful and logical reasons for a Citizen to have that much ammunition, and indeed an exponentially greater amount, while not harboring any evil intent, if we accept the exhortations that owning or possessing several thousand rounds of ammunition is to be treated as some sort of “warning sign” or “red flag” indicator of nefarious intentions at some future point, then the unasked question, the gargantuan elephant in the room that no one is talking about is;

What exactly are the future intentions of the myriad of Federal Government “Alphabet Agencies” and their collective purchase orders and bids for fulfillment to acquire 1 BILLION rounds of anti-personnel ammunition for delivery no later then December 31st 2012?

There are literally dozens of Federal Agencies that have armed agents and, shockingly enough, their own SWAT Teams, while having little, if any connection to a traditional Law Enforcement role. The Dept of Education has a SWAT Team, one that famously raided the wrong house a year or so ago, terrorizing an innocent family. Their explanation was they were looking for someone that was suspected of “student aid fraud”!

So, we now treat allegations of student aid fraud as if it’s the equivalent of raiding a Drug Czar’s Compound?

The Environmental Protection Agency has also ordered up some ammunition as well. Surely it’s for some benign purpose like protecting the “endangered and rare hogwort plant” from the clutches of evil drug-smuggling cartels.

Gun Control Supporters have fallen into OCD Levels of infatuation with the words “need” and “reasonable” lately , in order to market more gun control laws to a far to gullible public.

In this case, I’ll use the same terminology to ask an actual rational question. Why, with the Nation on the precipice of financial collapse, do we “need” to have so many Federal Agencies with armed personnel? What exactly is “reasonable” about the Dept of Education having its own SWAT Team? If, and this is a pretty big stretch given the distinct lack of evidence showing the violent tendencies of student aid fraud suspects, a SWAT level raid is necessary, wouldn’t it make more sense to utilize SWAT or Special Response Teams that are local to the area and highly likely to have trained for and actually executed far more raids then the Dept of Education?

Far, far more troubling is the “official” explanation offered by various spokespersons when pressed on the issue of this unprecedented acquisition of ammunition, amounting to roughly 3 to 5 rounds for every man, woman, and child in the United States.

This explanation is usually some variation of:

“Blah, blah, blah preparation for the possibility of civil unrest during a national emergency, such as a natural disaster, a terrorist attack, or a complete economic collapse.”

Here’s the take on this official explanation from an acquaintance of mine who is a retired State Trooper from the North East.

” They’re saying that their response to civil unrest is ammunition. Not tear gas or pepper spray, not water cannons or extra riot clubs and shields. Nope, ammunition, and a lot of it. There is only one way I know of to quell civilian unrest with ammo and it isn’t handing it out to appease the restless.”

Here’s what retired Major General Jerry Curry (Ret) had to say to The Daily Caller in an article titled “Who Does The Government Intend To Shoot?”

“In the war in Iraq, our military forces expended approximately 70 million rounds per year. In March DHS ordered 750 million rounds of hollow point ammunition. It then turned around and ordered an additional 750 million rounds of miscellaneous bullets including some that are capable of penetrating walls. This is enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen.

Is this something we and the Congress should be concerned about? What’s the plan that requires so many dead Americans, even during times of civil unrest? Has Congress and the Administration vetted the plan in public.”

“We have local police, backed up by each state’s National Guard, backed up by the Department of Defense. So in addition to all these forces why does DHS need its own private army? Why do the SSA, NOAA and other government agencies need to create their own civilian security forces armed with hollow nose bullets?”

“This is a deadly serious business. I hope I’m wrong, but something smells rotten. And If the Congress isn’t going to do its duty and investigate this matter fully, the military will have to protect the Constitution, the nation, and our citizens.”

Jerry Curry is a decorated combat veteran, Army Aviator, Paratrooper, and Ranger, who for nearly forty years has served his country both in the military and as a Presidential political appointee.

Indeed, something very alarming and deeply disturbing is just over the horizon for America and her Sovereign Citizens. Don’t forget President Obama’s forceful arguing for a “civilian National Security Force as powerful as the Military”

Don’t forget his secret and little-noticed signing of the National Defense Authorization Act (the NDAA) on New Year’s Eve 2011/2012, which provides for the indefinite detainment of American Citizens without due process, despite fevered denials to the contrary. Something I wrote about extensively.

Many, myself included believe that at this point, regardless of what actions are taken, due to the interwoven nature of America’s economy with Europes and Asia’s that an economic collapse in those Regions will result in a domino effect that will bring about the same awful consequences in the United States.

Taken as single, disparate events,

  • Obama’s comments about his desire for a “Civilian National Security Force”,
  • or his signing of the NDAA, all while claiming before the ink was even dry that “just because he signed it into law didn’t mean he thought it was right”.
  • Or Obama’s previous public statements that it is his intent and prerogative, with the assistance of Senior Cabinet Officials and staff to “bypass Congress and get things done “.
  • Or the current issue at hand of the Federal Govt’s acquisition of 1 BILLION rounds of ammunition, while certain members of the same Federal Govt demonize gun owners and issue press releases and soundbites over large caches of ammunition being a “red flag”, and any one of the events can be dismissed or libeled as a “conspiracy theory” not worthy of serious consideration.

But, when one endeavors to take all the individual pieces of the puzzle and assemble them as a whole, the picture that emerges upon completion comes into stark focus. In these matters, the big picture is terrifying in its implications.

The ONLY logical reason to pass laws or issue rulings against resisting unlawful entry by authorities, or videotaping police in a public performance of their duties, or draconian restrictions and conditions on when and where and under what circumstances people may assemble, or beating the drum for more Gun Control is because they want us unarmed, contained, silenced, intimidated and beaten into submission to whatever those in power want…

On second thought, they might just do a lot of target shooting. I guess I should go buy more ammo.

Your headline blew any credibility you may have had.

The ammo is NOT due to be delivered by 31 Dec 2012. They are multi-year contracts.

If you can't get even that simple a fact right, how much do I trust the rest?

Well Mr. Childers we certainly want to give the government the benefit of any doubt right???….one billion rounds of ammo….one billion….is that sinking in??….ONE BILLION! On top of the millions upon millions they already have. THINK!!!! Insofar as armed agencies…notice how all the cops look like soldiers now?? Gone are the pastel cop cars and tan on brown uniforms. Its the change we were told about. Yeah its changed alright.

Carl, are you seriously suggesting that there is nothing wrong with the Dept of EDUCATION having its own SWAT team ??? Cmon man. Like I said, the vast majority of these alphabet agencies could simply tap local resources to perform a raid if the situation reasonably called for such an action.
