NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- Post-election reports indicate a rising demand for firearms nationwide.

If history holds true, sales on the day after Thanksgiving —Black Friday— will surely hit record territory, based on federal background check activity.

(A background check is mandatory prior to the purchase of any firearm at retail. Background-check statistics are indicators of sales activity, though it’s important to note that for a variety of reasons a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a background check and a firearm purchase.)

As you can see in the chart, four of the top 10 most active single days for background checks through the end of last year were Black Fridays. The most checks ever conducted in a single day occurred November 26, 2011, when more than 129,000 were made by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

The second highest Black Friday total was on November 28, 2008, only weeks after President Barack Obama was elected to his first term. That total of 97,848 was a record number of background checks at that time.

Given the president’s reelection and also his call in the third debate for renewed restrictions on semiautomatic firearms, will a new record be set this Black Friday, November 23 2012.

"“RED” Friday? That’s just stupid, geez get real" – The Bruedaddy

What's stupid about it??? I think Joe hit the nail on the head. Given your post I don't think you understand what he meant by it. Joe was alluding to the deterioration/erosion of our Civil Rights; ie, Red = Kommunism. Dude lighten up, wear looser underwear or something.

If you said 2012 I might believe you, but who knows what will happen between now and next year. Black Friday might not even be black by then. It might be Red Friday.

2012 surely.;-)
