Port Byron, IL –-(Ammoland.com)- Pulse O2DA Firearms Training, Inc. (Pulse O2DA),announced today a new training course for public and private schools called “School Defense Training” which delivers firearms training and small unit tactics for school administrators and teachers.
Mike Smock, co-founder of Pulse O2DA said: “This new training program is in direct response to the Sandy Hook school massacre. Nothing is more precious than a child. Yet in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre, the pundits and politicians are completely ignoring or denigrating the one solution that will prevent this from happening again; allowing parents, administrators and teachers the opportunity to arm themselves, and with the proper training, eliminate this kind of threat before the first responders arrive.”
Smock went on to criticize the media coverage: “Despite what all of the Ph.D’s, talking heads, men in suits and politicians have been saying, there is no amount of psychological profiling that can guarantee this won’t happen again. Door buzzers, metal detectors and CCTV will not prevent this from happening again. SWAT, FBI, State Police, local cops will not prevent this from happening again. And a solitary armed security guard in a school of 200 students with 15 classrooms, a gym, an auditorium and offices will not prevent this from happening again. Over the past two days we have listened to too many so-called security experts, psychologists and pundits claim that there is no easy solution. We disagree. There is one simple solution – allowing teachers and administrators to carry a weapon and defend themselves and their students.”
The FBI echoes these sentiments. The FBI acknowledges that traditional law enforcement cannot protect schools and their employees from violent threats:“Research has shown that law enforcement may not arrive in time. As a result, employees have to become stakeholders in their own safety and security”.
