Groves, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- Many noted outdoor writers and broadcasters stopped by the Sure-Shot Game Calls exhibit at the Shot Show Media Day event to try out several of the company’s premiere game calls.

Sure-Shot Game Calls has been around since the 1950s, with all American-made calls for ducks, geese, turkey, deer and small game.

Featured at Media Day for members of the Outdoor Press, was the Rascal 7-in-1 call that is designed to produce seven different species of bird sounds. With an easily adjustable tuning cap, it allows the user to duplicate the true sound of a Mallard Drake; Blue-Greenwing Teal; Wigeon, Pintail; Wood Duck; Quail (Bobwhite); and Hawk. With a few minutes of instruction by Sure-Shot President, Charlie Holder, media guests were calling like the pros!

In addition, some outdoor press members enjoyed testing the high-quality tone of the famous Yentzen Classic duck call. Invented back in 1959 by George Yentzen and Jim “Cowboy” Fernandez, the Yentzen Classic became the “World Champion” call and was the first double-reed duck call. Today, the Yentzen Classic has been designed to exact specifications from an original and the call is and remains a “hand-tuned classic.” As many in the Outdoor Press found out, and as Sure-Shot Game Calls say, “ its the first and last call you will ever use!”

Sure-Shot Game Calls has set another new industry standard for 2013 for bird and game callers of all levels and abilities, by providing an easy to scan and use QR Code on the packaging of all of its game calls. Simply use your smart phone, scan the code and the user is taken instantly to the You Tube website where there are the Sure-Shot instructional videos that demonstrate how to use all of their calls. No complicated navigating on a website is required. A few minutes of video/audio instruction, and even novice callers can be ready for the field!
