Committee Hearing on Wednesday, Let Your Voice Be Heard.
NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- New Jersey General Assembly members are seeking outright bans and onerous restrictions on your rights through a large number of anti-gun bills.
To oppose these bills, NSSF is urging all sportsmen, hunters and gun owners to attend Wednesday’s (Feb. 13 2013) public hearing of the Law and Public Safety Committee starting at 10 a.m. in Committee Room 11, 4th Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, New Jersey.
This Wednesday might be the only chance for your voice to be heard before legislators push through legislation that will seriously affect not only your Second Amendment rights, but also the magazines, rifles and handguns you legally enjoy.
New Jersey manufacturers and retailers will be directly affected, as well, resulting in the loss of good paying jobs and badly needed tax revenue to the state.
There are bills that would arbitrarily reduce magazine capacity to ten rounds, onerous ammunition restrictions, and drastic changes to the purchasing process. Visit www.njleg.state.nj.us to view the far-reaching proposals (go to the Feb. 13 schedule and select “Assembly Law and Public Safety”).
NSSF is urging all gun owners to contact their state Assembly Member and all members of the Committee immediately, urging them to oppose ill-considered, fast-track legislation.
Contact information for your state legislators can be found here.
Don’t let legislators trample your rights. Let your voice be heard now.
Please immediately contact members of the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee:
