SF-132, No to the Sommers Amendment.
Wyoming –-(Ammoland.com)- Don’t you hate it when politicians talk about “freedom” while running for office — then once elected and safely in the seat of power they instead push an agenda like gun control?
Representative Albert Sommers (Republican-Sublette) is guilty of doing just that — in his new-found (and hopefully short) political career.
During his 2012 campaign Sommers used the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and freedom-minded quotes from Barry Goldwater to relay a crafted message to the voters.
Freedom sounds great, right?
Only until you discover what newly elected Republican Albert Sommers is really up to. Sommers has been bringing poisonous amendments to pro-gun legislation!
An example of his handy-work from just two weeks ago:
He joined with anti-gun Rep. Patrick Goggles (Democrat-Fremont) in amending HB-105 a bill that would have ended gun free school zones in Wyoming — the Sommers/Goggles amendment effectively gutted the bill.
Of course this amendment by Sommers certainly made the gun control crowd cheer.
And now Sommers is at it again!
In his latest assault on gun owners, Sommers has brought an amendment gutting — SF-132 hunting with suppressors — the amendment will make hunters vulnerable to arrest by game wardens due to vague language that undoes the original intention of the bill.
Please contact Representative Albert Sommers and tell him to start acting and voting like he talked on the campaign trail. Tell him to stop doing the bidding of the anti-gun crowd.

i don’t really see where he’s gutted the bill if you can carry a firearm into a place you can carry concealed if you have a permit so i don’t see the problem if anything i think it makes it better if i’m wrong show me where
Errrm, isn't the problem not so much that one turncoat is introducing anti-gun amendments but that the rest of the state legislature is voting aye on them??? If he wasn't doing this, his Democratic partner in crime mentioned above would still be, and looking at the recorded votes in your link to H.B. 105 it still would have passed, right?
