Fayette, MO –-(Ammoland.com)- America’s Amateur 3 Gun shooters will compete at the 1st Annual Brownell’s US Amateur 3-Gun Nationals at the Midwest 3 Gun Range, September 27-29, 2013.

This event, sponsored by Brownell’s will be the first 3 Gun match to establish a true national amateur championship in 5 divisions and 3 classes including a Youth division.

“Our match mission and sole purpose of the US Amateur 3 Gun Nationals is to support and recognize 3-Gun competitors that are not sponsored professionals”, says Larry Wayland, Co Match Director.

“These Amateur and Junior shooters make up the majority of competitors attending major matches yet rarely have a chance at winning. Now they will have their own championship match”.

The US Amateur 3 Gun Nationals will employ the Lewis Class system of scoring where competitors are ranked and separated by total scores- splitting the field in 3 classes and 5 divisions, thereby ensuring a level playing field. Junior shooters will have their own championship division using the same scoring system. Aside from the Amateur National Champion plaque- competitors will vie for significant product prizes donated by firearms industry manufacturers and distributed equally allowing competitors to win top awards usually reserved for top pro shooters.

“Amateur shooters are the brand evangelists for the products they use on the range and extremely important customers for our match and prize sponsors”, adds Wayland. “Our competitors are big purchase influencers and extremely loyal to companies that support their sport”.

The course of fire will be both challenging and fun with an overall design that has the amateur and youth shooter in mind. Built by an experienced team of multi and 3 gun course designers, the US Amateur 3 Gun Nationals will include a total of 9 stages built to fully test the handgun, shotgun and rifle skills of competitors.

Competitor slots are still available in each division. Amateur and youth shooters can sign up on line at www.amateur3gunnationals.com. Manufacturers can still participate through product prize donations, on site stage sponsorships or displaying at the event in the popular vendor tent. All sponsors will receive free entries to shoot the match, advertisement in match booklet, banner displays and distribution of product and promotional materials included in the shooters packs given to each competitor.
