Leesburg, Virginia –-(Ammoland.com)- Team RangeLog competitors kept busy in October, competing in matches meant to test a shooter’s skill and endurance.

Just this past weekend, RangeLog’s Rob Tate won High Overall at the “NC Recon” match, beating more than 75 top competitors in Oxford, North Carolina.  Rob had just recently competed in another North Carolina event; the annual “Shoothouse Shootout” on October 12 – 13 2013, held in Moyock at Academi.  In addition to High Veteran and High Industry, Rob was awarded ESP Division Champion (High Overall), beating out 17 other top competitors in his division.

Rob was impressed with the Moyock match, as well as event staff, saying “Jeff Koke and staff did a great job this year. The stages were first rate and the staff polite and professional.  Couple all of that with a 3 gun match at a first rate facility and you cannot beat the experience.”

The Blue Ridge 3 Gun Championship match, held October 17 – 19 at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky, proved to be formidable for Team RangeLog members Keith Bourgeois and Beep Kielkowicz, with a single stage that included 55 targets.  Shooters were expending more than 100+ rounds on stages that included challenges like hidden plates, shooting from rooftops and jumping over trenches.

Keith and Beep finished in the top half of competitors with some of the best 3 gunners in the nation.

“Andy Horner matches are designed to torment human beings. Andy really is an evil genius and puts on brilliant stages and one heck of a match with an awesome prize table to boot.”  said Keith.  “The comradery with your squad mates is great as you spend 3 days in the trenches helping and encouraging one another through the challenges.”

The multi-day event included a special presentation by Task Force Dagger Foundation’s Mike Cassidy, who honored wounded heroes at the awards and through the foundation that he created.

Ashley Rheuark, the newest and youngest member of Team RANGELOG, was awarded both High Lady and High Junior at the Georgia State IDPA Championship.  The two day match, hosted at the South River Gun Club in Conyers, GA, featured 13 challenging stages for the nearly 250 competitors; teammates Morgan Allen and Deon Martin placed second and fourth overall in the match respectively, with Morgan earning 2nd place in the ESP division, and Deon securing 2nd place in the SSP division.

Team RANGELOG would like to thank our 2013 sponsors for their support and commitment, including Hodgdon, Zeiss, Predator Tactical, Vertx, Safariland, 3-Gun Nation, Accuracy, Performance & Function and Burwell Gunsmithing.  As we move into the 2014 shooting season, we look forward to working with our sponsors and team members at matches in the upcoming year.
