Florida – -(Ammoland.com)- We have been flooded with requests for information concerning the arrest of pro-gun Sheriff Nick Finch of Liberty County, Florida, for his actions in upholding the Second Amendment.

And his subsequent prosecution by Willie Meggs, the anti-gun State Attorney for 2nd Judicial Circuit, Florida.

Many have asked if there is anything they can do to help, and the answer is YES.

The trial is now over and Sheriff Nick Finch has been reinstated as Sheriff of Liberty County.

It only took the jury a little over an hour to find Sheriff Finch NOT GUILTY.

While Meggs used taxpayer dollars to conduct what many have called a malicious, witch hunt prosecution, Sheriff Finch is left with a whopping debt for defending himself. (information is listed at the end of this report on how you can help Sheriff Finch)

Pro-gun Sheriff Richard Mack of Arizona attended the trial and posted his report online with OathKeepers.org. To read Sheriff Mack on Sheriff Finch’s Acquittal in the November 1 edition of Oath Keepers, please click here.

NOTE *** Sheriff Nick Finch is left with a six-figure debt for defending the Second Amendment. If you want to help, you can send a check payable to:

“NICK FINCH LEGAL DEFENSE FUND” and send it to:

No “woman” here the “Willie” is a man and one of those old by the book types. As far collecting legal fees they will eventually be paid from the county tax payers since he removal from office was wrongful the action in question would be considered an “on duty” action and therefore covered by his employment contract and that includes representation or legal assistance it will just take time to get it all straightened out

If this woman is an elected official then RECALL!!!!!!!!

I would like to make a suggestion that you post correct postal mailing address and if possible the email of the SA in FL. I am sure many would like to send a card in good taste to make her aware of how we feel about her. I am sure it would also be fun to see how many letters and cards flood her US Mail Box and Email Box. I am sure it would start some talking about her actions in this case.

In Florida acquitted defendants are to be reimbursed for all fees except lawyer fees. And the old saying there is no justice in the criminal justice system–still applies when you run up against nazi-like prosecutors and district attorneys, and they really are many more out there than people can imagine. Their best tactic is to throw everything at a defendant hoping they will plea bargain out and if they do, innocent or not it is a win on the scoreboard for the DA who is a political animal and running for election and wins are what gets them reelected, generally.… Read more »

I would love to help Nick, but I have a few reservations about it. Most usually a winner in a court case can recover cost. What is the problem in doing so in this case.
I think we need more people to fight for our 2nd rights and I thank the Sheriff for doing so.

God bless Sheriff Nick Finch!

Thank you for being an OATH KEEPER and a 2A defender!
