Fort Wayne Indiana – -(Ammoland.com)-  Delivering out-of-the-box 200-yard accuracy, the Hawke Sport HD IR Rimfire scope marries the most popular rifle in the world with innovative yet simple reticle design.

When sighted in at 50 yards the Sport HD IR Rimfire provides 25-yard aim points from 50 to 200 yards, giving the user downrange accuracy never expected from a .22 rifle.

As a bonus, there is no need to memorize aim points, as the yardages are etched directly onto the glass of the reticle.  Designed to be accurate at 9X magnification for ammunition shooting at or near 1300 fps, the 3-9×40 chassis design is easy to use and reliable.

By decreasing the magnification it is also possible to calibrate the scope to subsonic ammunition.  In addition to the BDC capabilities, the reticle is also illuminated with five levels of red and green to match ambient light conditions.  For more details visit https://www.hawkeoptics.com/hawke-sport-hd-ir-3-9×40-rimfire-sr.html.

Kevin Michalowski, Executive Editor of Concealed Carry Magazine was one of the first to try the latest Hawke scope.

“The Sport HD IR Rimfire is amazing. It is simple, accurate, and unbelievably fun.  With its clear and easy-to-use bullet drop compensator right in the reticle we had no trouble hitting squirrel-sized targets at 200 yards. Just sight-in the scope at 50 yards and use the BDC all the way out to 200. When was the last time you hit anything on your first shot at 200 yards with a .22 rifle? Hawke makes it happen.”

As with all Hawke scopes the lenses are fully multi-coated for the best possible light transmission and management.  Waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen purged to be fog proof, the Sport HD IR scopes are covered by the transferable Hawke Worldwide Warranty.  Additionally, the Rimfire SR reticle is supported by the free Hawke BRC program.  Supported by your true ballistic information, the BRC allows you blueprint your projectile to any Hawke multiple aim point reticle.  Download the BRC absolutely free at www.hawkeoptics.com.  The new Sport HD IR Rimfire SR scope will be available early 2014.

If someone would put out scope reticles in a FULL Christmass tree design, NOT tied to a specific velocity, for a reasonable price? Id be all over them. Id buy several in fact! Hawkes SR Pro is close , if it ranged at 20x and went down further it would be exactly what I want.

Why would I buy this when my Hawke 10x 1/2 mildot can get me out further? On top of this the old Map 8 reticle was also too good to be discontinued. Cetainly too good to be replaced by this.
