Colorado: Committee Appoints Another Anti-Gunner to Hudak’s Vacant State Senate Seat

Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)-  On Tuesday, December 10 2013, a Democratic vacancy committee appointed Arvada City Councilwoman Rachel Zenzinger to fill the state Senate seat recently vacated by Senator Evie Hudak (SD-19).

Senator Hudak resigned in November rather than face a potential recall election after championing passage of the most radical anti-gun legislation in Colorado’s history.

The appointment of Zenzinger is bad news for gun owners and sportsmen in the Centennial State.  Zenzinger is no friend of the Second Amendment, and has made clear she is in full support of the irresponsible legislation passed and enacted this year.  Now is the time to begin preparing to unseat her next November.

Your NRA-ILA is preparing for the 2014 elections to ensure that state legislators who ignored the rights of responsible gun owners are held accountable, and will continue to fight for your Second Amendment rights in Denver.

Please note: We have 7 Colorado Sheriffs who will not join with the other County Sheriffs in a law suite against Colorado for this states recently passed stupid and fivilous anti-gun laws…Stating they fear retaliation from their Democratic controlled counties…As was the resignation which was forced upon Rep. Edie Hudak by her fellow Democrats…What a bunch of cowards these 7 Colorado Sheriffs are!…To “Protect and Serve” is a joke to these non-magnificent seven!

Watch for an increased federal presence.

I live in Colorado. We are again pretty much toast for 2014 unless a couple of reasonable democrats will vote against this near communistic type of thinking. However the pressure put on swing voters is huge. I do fear the time when someone will simply make their dislike for the attacks on our U.S. and state Constitutions more personal with these state legislators and their families. I can certainly see that on the health care situation if the loss of insurance to a family directly costs the life of a child, father or wife. Then personal contact with that legislator’s… Read more »

There’s a tried and true historical slogan that explains the situation, not only in Colorado, in America. “Taxation Without Representation!”

I thought the whole point of the resignation was to allow appointment of another lefty gun grabber. An election would have replaced the prior occupant with a pro gun conservative. The State Senate would have then gone to the Republicans. Can they attempt to recall an interim appointment?

Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Finish the job,and get them all out.

By hook or by crook. The only reason hudak quit is so the dems could hold power. Colorado please vote this one out too.
