Manasquan, NJ –-(Ammoland.com)- As NRA magazines containing ballots for the 2014 NRA Board of Directors Election begin arriving in people’s mail boxes AmmoLand Shooting Sports News has begun to publish letters of support requests from this years current ballot candidates.
(NRA members, if you got a ballot, you’re eligible to vote if you didn’t you aren’t and need to upgrade your membership to more than five years or better yet, Life Member).
The following is a statement from Antonio Hernandez-Almodovar who is running for election. Please take some time to read his biography and add his name for consideration as one of this years ballot choices.

To all NRA members, collectors, shooting aficionados, hunters, Second Amendment activists and self-protection supporters:
Dear friends, my name is Antonio Hernandez-Almodovar and I am running for the NRA Board of Directors.
I have been nominated by NRA Nominating Committee and currently sit on the Legal Affairs and Urban Affairs Committees. I am a past member of the NRA Nominating Committee. I have been endorsed by Soldier of Fortune Magazine. I assisted in renewing Puerto Rico’s NRA State Association authorization and also sit on the host committee for the first ever Friends of the NRA Dinner on the island. Since I was a law school student I have assisted in drafting and passing pro-gun legislation as well as the current Puerto Rican firearms laws which require “shall issue” for new weapons and shooting permits.
I have given seminars to state district attorneys in assisting them with gun owner’s rights under existing law. I have also assisted in NRA outreach on Second Amendment by acting as a spokesperson on Spanish language media including numerous appearances on the national Spanish language station, Univision.
I am a Concealed and Carry Permit holder. I have attended NRA Regional
Police Firearms Instructor Development School in Allentown, Pennsylvania and have also been an instructor in various firearms’ shooting and safety courses. I also hold a Private Investigator License.
I am a passionate, unapologetic defender of the Second Amendment and self-protection advocate. I have been a lifelong rifle, pistol, shotgun shooter and collector. I am an NRA Endowment member, husband to Becky and father to Antonio (7), Adolfo (4) and toddler Ilana, all life members.
I humbly ask you to vote for me, Antonio Hernandez-Almodovar for member of the NRA board. I would be honored to have your vote and will continue to defend our Second Amendment rights as a member of the NRA Board of Directors.
