Milwaukee –-(Ammoland.com)- Advanced Technology International® (ATI), a leading manufacturer of U.S. made firearm accessories, has announced Scorpion Pistol Grips for select Taurus revolvers.

ATI’s new Scorpion Pistol Grips are the Wisconsin company’s first foray into the handgun market and feature the company’s patented Scorpion recoil reduction material. The new line of revolver grips will be available for the Taurus .Model 85 and Judge models in early 2014.

The Scorpion Pistol Grips feature specific contoured geometry for repeatable hand placement, which places the shooters’ hand in optimal position for quick and correct sight alignment. The grips also elevate the index finger for ideal trigger placement as well.

Jon Shaffer, Director of Business Development at ATI, said of the new Scorpion Pistol Grips; “Our engineering team focused on balance for all shooters when designing these grips. We think we’ve achieved something that will reduce recoil and muzzle lift for virtually every shooter on the market.”

The rear tang on ATI’s grip has a 1911 inspiration and was designed to assist in pushing the firearm’s recoil rearward as opposed to upwards with the muzzle – thus giving the shooter more control.

Shaffer later commented that the .Model 85 gave the team unique challenges as a smaller revolver: “Our team engineered a grip that would fit the shooter’s entire hand and increase stability, without adding any overall length or hindering concealment.”

The Scorpion Pistol Grips will be backed by ATI’s limited lifetime warranty and can be purchased on the company’s website www.atigunstocks.com and will be shipping to select stores this year.

Hi. I own both a circuit judge .45/.410 and I’m in the process of rebuilding an sks 7.62×39 norinco into a tactical/close quarter, hog/home defense rifle as well as a deer hunting rifle. Yes, I know it seems like overkill. What I’m asking for information for is I would like to turn my Circuit Judge into a masterkey allowing me to protect my home as well as have it on hand as a bush gun for hogs and up close deer. Yes it’s gonna be a challenge but a simple mount isnt gonna be hard to find. What I am… Read more »

Im looking for a grip for my new rossi Plinker 22cal revolver. The original grip is too small for my hand. I would like to get all my fingers on the grip. If you have Ideas please share them with me.

Sincerely Ralph

I’ve been looking too, and it looks like grips for the Taurus Judge Public Defender will fit. From the outside, the factory Ribber grips appear to be the same grip. The full size Judge frame is too big–it shares grips with the Tracker line. But google a pic of the PD frame and compare it to the Rossi Plinker frame. It looks to be the same size. I called Rossi cust serv and they said it might fit, but not sure. If it does, Taurus sells some nice wood grips in either rosewood or walnut for the PD on their… Read more »

I’ve seen pictures of a stock of yours for the Circuit Judge that just plain looks slick. Since one cannot purchase a synthetic stock for the wood stock model and visa versa, When should we expect to be able to get your Circuit Judge stock in normal dealer’s channels? Kevin.

Hogue grips are pretty hard to beat. Will these API grips be a vast improvement over the Hogue grips? Does the grip have a solid track inside the rubber grip to allow a secure hold using the one mounting screw provided for the gun, as it is with the Hogue grips? If they were out and show-able at this years shot show, why will it take until the latter part of March before they show up on dealer’s shelves? Kevin.
