TROUBLESOME GAP, N.C. –-(Ammoland.com)- Montie Gear, a North Carolina-based manufacturer of heirloom-quality shooting, hunting, and camping products, will be sharing best practices on developing its popular outdoor equipment at the world-renown SHOT Show January 14-17 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Company President Montie Roland will be on hand networking with peers about new design standards, testing and evaluation methods, and other developments in a fluid, ever-improving $5 billion industry.

Roland’s operation, a boutique outdoor gear company made up of hunters and shooting enthusiasts, began a handful of years ago after the success of a prototype hunting product, the X-Rest, developed in-house by his product design firm Montie Design. Originally conceived as a project to test his firm’s various concept, design, and production capabilities, the popularity of the X-Rest with peers outside the firm led to the production of additional X-Rests. After offering the X-Rest for sale on the company website, demand for the product increased, as did feedback from consumers requesting additional different hunting, shooting and camping products.

Soon after, Montie Gear was born, with an online full catalog of shooting rests, knives, slingshots, archery rests, and other equipment popular with outdoor enthusiasts and the growing prepper movement.

Roland will be available to share his company’s story at SHOT Show® upon request; interested parties should contact him at [email protected] or 919-412-0559.

SHOT Show® is the largest trade show of its kind in the world and the fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas, featuring more than 1,600 exhibitors filling booth space covering 630,000 net square feet. The show, which is a trade-only event, attracts more than 62,000 industry professionals from all 50 states and 100 countries. For more information visit www.shotshow.org.

All Montie Gear products are manufactured in North Carolina; assembled; then hand-tested by company employees in a collaboration between the Montie Gear facility in the rugged Troublesome Gap region in the North Carolina mountains and another facility in Morrisville, N.C. Roland, himself a former competitive shooter, actively participates with the testing and provides test and evaluation product samples to independent third-party industry leaders for feedback.

In addition to slingshots and shooting rests, other items available for purchase on the company’s website include the Hunter’s Friend Tree Stand Rest; Ultralight Towel Holder; Belt Clip Magnetic Ammo Holder; Arrow Rest with Whisker Biscuit; Tactical Slingshot Kit; Slingshot Adapter Plate for Custom Mods; Iron Sights for Slingshot; Multi-Sight for Slingshot; Holster for Breakdown Arrows; Slingshot Holster; Utensil and Knife / Fork Rack; and Y-Shot Wrist Brace.

About Montie Gear
Our philosophy for Montie Gear products is pretty straight forward. We provide Heirloom Quality Products that are Troublesome Gap Tough. Many products in today’s world are meant to have a limited life time. A good example is that cell phone that you need to replace every two years. It works great, but over time technology changes and the fragile electronics have a limited lifetime. We want to design and sell products that have a very long lifetime and may actually get passed along to your kids or grandchildren. Many rifles get passed along from parent to children, sometimes marking a rite of passage. Granted a shooting rest isn’t as special as your Grandfather’s rifle; however, we work to design and sell products that are simple, elegant and high enough quality that you will want to pass them along to your kids or grandchildren.
