Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- “Microstamping,” the new fraudulent way to de-facto ban private ownership of guns. Coming to a state near you?

“Now, I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this: The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power.

What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites.

The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.

Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now, do you begin to understand me?” ~ George Orwell’s novel, “1984” The only thing Orwell got wrong was the date, and even then, not by much!

Back in 2007, then CA governor Schwarzenegger (a professing “Republican”) was sold a false bill-of-goods on a ‘miraculous emerging technology” that could supposedly be used to positively link an autoloading pistol with ejected cartridges that had been fired from it. The salesman was a Gyro Gearloose crackpot, trying to legislate himself into prosperity!

The governor and legislators were so anxious for this to be true that they all signed-off on legislation requiring it, including the governor. Of course, none of them ever read the actual legislation!

Then, came “problems.” First and foremost, in the seven years hence, the technology has never “emerged.” In less polite terms, it didn’t work, still doesn’t work, and cannot be made to work. Secondly, the legislation (like most) was so poorly written that no gun manufacturer can even know if he is in compliance or not. To date, no crime has ever been solved with the aid of this non-existent technology!

But, or course none of that ever concerns leftists (see quote above!). They live only to punish/persecute their political detractors, like gun-owners, any way they can.

So, CA is moving forward to enforce this stupid “law.” Not only are they trying to implement it, they’re trying to expand it to include all firearms!

Both Ruger and S&W have already announced that the so-called “technology” is unworkable, infeasible, and guns that comply with it cannot be manufactured, would be unreliable if they could, and, in any event, manufacturers could never know if they were in compliance or not. So, they’re suspending gun shipments to CA. All the other manufacturers will doubtless follow shortly.

The effect is that, in a short time, it will be impossible for a CA citizen to legally acquire a new pistol in CA, other than a cap-and-ball, black powder revolver!

This is, of course, a blatant violation of the Second Amendment (not that anyone cares any more), this time via the required implementation of non-existent technology. In other words, they made a law with which compliance is impossible. It is similar to a “poll tax,” but worse.

Smug CA leftists/liberals are saying, in effect:

“You can have a gun, but it must meet an impossible technological requirement that doesn’t even exist. Therefore, there is no gun that meets our ‘ standards.’ Hence, you can’t have a gun!”

All the while, of course, hypocritically making sure their personal bodyguards are exempt!

This just begs a sarcastic smack-down by a righteous Supreme Court Justice, if one still exists, writing a majority opinion.

In the interim, it is not a good time to live in CA, NY, CT ( NJ) ! In the interim, our lives and safety mean nothing to these Constitutional criminals.

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face- forever.” ~ Also from Orwell’s, “1984”

No matter how many laws they have on the books,
past, present and future,

you can not legislate what is inside the mind of the individual.

Guys; I’ve lived in red states turned blue. The flood of immigration means it will happen in Arizona if it takes 20 years. And we all know that banning guns through phony tech like micro stamping and smart guns is just part of the banning process.

I think the manufacturers are looking at this all wrong. Here is the perfect chance to introduce the technology through the new LEO models, the only models that would be available for sale in the state of California.

Obviously once they see how well the new weapons are received by the law enforcement community in California, the rest of Californians will get on board. Even the criminal element would find no reason to criticize such a decision.

Though I have to say if I were a California LEO, I might decide to move to another state.

keithj,
While that might be a good thing to be thankful of, it doesn’t solve the problem.
These stupid laws expand, not retract, so when something similar happens in Arizona, remember this moment.
These actions need to be stopped, no matter what state they’re taking place.

Makes me thankful Arizona is my home.
