Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On April 4th 2014, a female homeowner in Autauga County, Alabama, shot and killed a man forcing his way into her house with a knife.

According to WSFA.com, Autauga County Chief Deputy Joe Sedinger said 18-year-old Michael Steven Smith “knocked on the door and tried to gain entrance by saying he needed help, that he was broke down.” When the homeowner came to the door, Smith “pushed the door open” and entered the house with a knife.

At that point the homeowner “feared for her safety, and for that of her niece,” so she “fired several shots at the intruder.”

The intruder was able to run about 30 feet from the home before collapsing. He was later pronounced dead.

Glad the law abiding citizen was able to stop the home invader in his tracks.

But what about the safety of the criminal? I’ve been living in New Jersey way too long. Sorry.

Well another Dirt Bag bit’s the dust. Good for the home owner. She did the right thing.
