Michigan – -(Ammoland.com)-We are excited to be working with Representative Tom McMillin (R-Rochester Hills) to introduce new legislation that will reinforce or “add teeth” to preemption in Michigan. We’ve prepared a white paper with many of the details.

Everyone knows that local units of government can’t regulate firearms more than the state, but that doesn’t stop some of them. By adding punishments for municipalities and protections for citizens, local government officials will no longer be able to flaunt their violations without facing some sort of recourse.

It’s time the Michigan Legislature backed up what they said two decades ago and tell the citizens of Michigan that they are serious about preemption, and they are serious about you exercising your rights without harassment from local authorities.

Be sure to read our white paper detailing everything and share it with your friends and legislators!

We are very excited about this legislation and will be sure to keep you updated as it progresses through the State Legislature. We will send another email shortly to share the exact language of the bill once it is posted to the State Legislature’s website.
