New Jersey: Senate Committee to Hear Gun and Magazine Ban Legislation on Monday

Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- On Monday, May 5 2014, the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hear Senate Bill 993.

Sponsored by state Senator Loretta Weinberg (D-37), S.993 seeks to restrict the maximum capacity of ammunition magazines from 15 to 10 rounds and ban many popular firearms.

Under the guise of public safety, anti-gun politicians continue their efforts to erode the Second Amendment rights of New Jersey residents. New Jersey is one of only a few states which already has a magazine restriction, and another arbitrary limit will have no impact on crime or criminals. Instead, this legislation demonstrably favors criminals who prefer to prey on unarmed victims.

NRA members are urged to attend this Senate committee hearing and respectfully voice their opposition. Hearing information is provided below:

Monday, May 5 2014, at 10:30 a.m.
Committee Room 10
State House Annex
125 West State Street
Trenton, NJ 08625

Also, using the contact information provided below, please call committee members and Governor Chris Christie (R) and urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 993. You should also contact your state Senator and politely ask him or her to vote against S.993 if it comes up for a vote on the Senate floor. Contact information for state Senators can be found here.

I see that the New Jersey politicians are not bright enough to learn anything from the rocket scientists running Connecticut and New York (into the ground). They are trying to make it 3 for 3.

My best advice, relocate out of The PRNJ. Leave it to the corrupt cops, politicians, illegals and junkies. Just don’t bring your filthy gun control into America.

I don’t know why the commies in NJ just totally ban all guns & get it over with. That is their ultimate goal& no one will stop them. If you count on Christie Good luck
