South Dakota --(Ammoland.com)- The new season of Wingshooting USA TV promises a variety of birds, locales and dog breeds when it launches June 30 on seven networks including its newest distribution partner Discovery Networks’ Destination America.
From Kentucky to South Dakota, Hungarian partridge to chukars, cocker spaniels to German wirehairs, creator/host Scott Linden promises “something for everyone in the new season.”
The first episode was recorded near Topeka, Kansas where Gov. Sam Brownback joined Linden and Ravenwood Lodge owner Ken Corbet. Hard-charging pointers, colorful ringneck pheasants and history and botany lessons from the governor highlight a fast-paced day in the tall grass near the Flint Hills.
Old guns, including the governor’s Winchester Model 42, “star” in the episode. Brownback’s gun was handed down from his grandfather, who took it in exchange for a grocery bill at his general store two generations ago.
Destination America is available to 65 million satellite and cable TV households, and offers America-centric travel, food and natural history programming in addition to weekend outdoor blocks. Wingshooting USA TV airs Saturdays at 6 a.m. (Eastern).
Other networks carrying the program include Pursuit Channel, MAV TV, TUFF TV, AMG TV, Texas Channel, and TheWalk TV, making Wingshooting USA TV available to over 240 million households.
Sponsors for the sixth season of Wingshooting USA include the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Paw Print Genetics, Cabela’s, Happy Jack Inc., Filson, Kansas Tourism, Camp Chef, TruckVault, Fiocchi ammunition, South Dakota Tourism, EverGreen RV Manufacturing, and Ugly Dog Hunting Co.
