USA –-(Ammoland.com)- I attended a SilencerCo media event where they announced a new shotgun suppressor, the first “commercially viable” shotgun suppressor as they put it.

So of course the main question regarding SilencerCo’s new “Salvo 12″ shotgun suppressor is how quiet is it?

If you’ve ever shot a 12 gauge shotgun without ear pro, you know it’s really loud and can be pretty painful.

Well check out my experience in this short video using a Benelli M4 with the 12″ version of the Salvo 12, below.

I’ll be getting a whole second day with hands on time tomorrow, so let me know in the comments if you want to see anything in particular in video and pictures.

How top heavy is the firearm with the silencer? Does it require extra support? How much does the silencer weigh by itself?

With the gas dispersion, is there any reduced recoil effect?
