2014 To Be Memorable For Gun Rights Fighters

BELLEVUE, WA –-(Ammoland.com)- PATRIOTS: 2014 has been an incredible year for the Second Amendment Foundation, thus far. Every victory is made sweeter by the fact that 2014 happens to be our 40th anniversary.

This year, we have earned victories in New Mexico, California, Utah, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Illinois, Arkansas, and other cities and States from across the United States.

Even with our long list of victories, nearly 20 open court cases remain. On top of that, our biggest victory of the year, Palmer vs. D.C., is being appealed by Washington D.C.

While our President, members of Congress and anti-gun groups are campaigning for gun control at every level, SAF is in the trenches doing the dirty work to protect against anti-gun laws from coast to coast.

Our biggest victory of the year is being put on hold; Washington D.C. will appeal the Palmer Case verdict.

Federal Judge Frederick J. Scullin, Jr previously ruled, “…there is no longer any basis on which this Court can conclude that the District of Columbia’s total ban on the public carrying of ready-to-use handguns outside the home is constitutional under any level of scrutiny.”

Apparently the judge’s crystal clear ruling contains confusing diction for the anti-gunners trying to stop it:

City Council Chairman Phil Mendelson said, “…there’s a gray area between 100-percent ban and everybody can carry. And that’s what we’re working through.”

Don’t let this victory be all for naught. Appeals mean a new wave of attorney’s fees and court costs. Please help us finish off this landmark victory for our Second Amendment Rights.

Not only does SAF protect our gun rights in the courts, we’re going state by state, one state at time, going through every single ordinance of every city and county in every state finding where the cities and counties have ordinances enacted that are in conflict with state law … and then contacting each one of them to remove the ordinances.

SAF has written to 49 local Utah governments demanding they repeal various ordinances that violate a state law reserving almost all gun-regulation power to the state Legislature.

The Second Amendment Foundation has been gaining momentum for 40 years. We are now considered the legal arm of the gun-rights movement and will not stop until every resident of the United States’ gun rights are protected.

Along with our legal action, we have to raise money for gun rights conferences, educational projects, and other events taking place throughout the year that take their financial toll on our budget.

Gun grabbers think that past gun control efforts have worn us down and hope you and I will quit the fight to protect individual rights.

I am counting on you. I know times are tough for everyone but if you could please make a special emergency gift to SAF of $100 or $50 or whatever you can afford, anything will help.

Please contribute your emergency gift immediately. Tomorrow is too late. I know I can count on you.

Times are tough but as things get tougher it’s critical we have gun rights.
