SAN DIEGO, Calif. –-(Ammoland.com)- Larry Wilske, California Congressional candidate and retired Command Master Chief of SEAL Team Seven, has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).

Wilske is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams and served with distinction on SEAL Teams SDV-1, Three and Seven. Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Wilske earned an “AQ” rating from NRA-PVF for the upcoming November 4 election.

An “AQ” is the highest rating a candidate can receive without a voting record on Second Amendment issues.

“On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse Larry Wilske’s candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 53rd District,” said Chris Cox, Chairman, NRA-PVF. “Congratulations on your AQ rating and endorsement. Thank you for your service to our country and your steadfast support of the Second Amendment.”

“When I joined the Navy 30 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, and that is a commitment that I will not waver from,” said Wilske.

“The Second Amendment clearly establishes the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms. Too often, politicians view the Constitution as a ‘document of convenience’ that is open to agenda-driven interpretations, when it should be adhered to as the foundation of all governance. I pledge to preserve this constitutional right, so Americans can protect themselves and their families.”

Larry Wilske served on SEAL Teams SDV-1, Three and Seven during his 30 years in the Navy. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he deployed to Afghanistan as Operations Chief of Task Force Ka-Bar, a U.S.-led coalition of special operations forces from eight nations. Larry and his SEAL Team Three teammates were awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for extraordinary heroism in action for this tour of duty. As Command Master Chief of SEAL Team Seven, Larry oversaw hundreds of complex missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. For his final tour of duty, he was chosen as the first SEAL Master Chief to be stationed at the U.S. Naval War College and teach at the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.

After retiring from the military in 2013, Larry chose to continue his path of service as a Congressional candidate for California’s 53rd District, representing the neighborhoods in which he grew up. Larry is a proud lifelong San Diegan who attended John Paul Jones and St. Columba elementary schools, Kearny High School, University of San Diego High School, San Diego community colleges, and National University. As an active community citizen, Larry has coached wrestling teams throughout San Diego County for over two decades and supports local organizations including Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station and Bonita Optimist Club. He and his wife live in Midtown and are the proud parents of four daughters and two grandchildren.
