Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- The House Fish and Game and Marine Resources Committee will hold a hearing on Thursday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. to take up House Bill 500.

The meeting will be located in LOB Room 307. Sponsored by Representative John Burt (R), HB 500 would repeal the current ban on the use of legal firearm sound suppressors while hunting, as previously reported.

Sound suppressors attached to firearms are an additional tool available to help protect the shooter’s hearing, reduce noise complaints by surrounding residents, as well as increase accuracy and safety. If passed, New Hampshire would be the 38th state to allow the use of suppressors while hunting.

Please plan to attend this hearing to urge members of the Committee to support this important legislation. If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact members of the House Fish and Game and Marine Resources Committee and urge them to support House Bill 500.
