Planned Parenthood Shooting – Happy Ending?

Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- No “Happy Ending!”

Yesterday, in Colorado Springs, CO, we experienced a hostage drama at a local Planned Parenthood Clinic. Not a lot is immediately known, but current information suggests there was a single suspect, armed with one longarm (at least).

Several casualties, including police officers. At least one fatality.

Suspect eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. Identity and motive not revealed at this time.

Media reports are, as usual, filled with endless speculation, but precious few facts.

Police can, as usual, not expect anyone to say “Thanks.” What they can expect is a legion of armchair critics who will endlessly point out where they could have done it better!

Hostage situations rarely have a “happy ending!”

By all accounts, an armored (military) vehicle proved invaluable in rescuing hostages/bystanders. These are the same vehicles that the BHO Administration is doing its best to deny to local police agencies. Administration spokesmen are strangely silent on that issue right now. Imagine that!

Something that should not escape the notice of all of us:

Innocent people, who just happened to be there and subsequently found themselves involuntarily swept-up in this drama, had no time to “get ready!” Like most, they found themselves in a “come-as-you-are” war!

Some were injured.

All of us need reminding that the “first responder” in a case like this is YOU! Police are “subsequent responders.”

I predict frequency of these incidents will increase geometrically, between now and late 2016.

• 1) Be ready, however you define personal “readiness.”
• 2) Tweak your lifestyle as necessary. Be prepared to make big changes, instantly!
• 3) Be alert and aware. Don’t discount disagreeable information, just because it doesn’t fit your agenda.
• 4) Maintain full ability for independent action. Don’t be a hapless slave to someone else’s (even friends’ and family’s) plans and agendas. Do what you need to do, without hesitation, whether anyone else likes it or not!

“We must maintain our own personal, individual state of readiness. Don’t feel like putting on your gun, or wearing attire that will conceal it? Don’t want to be bothered putting your rifle in your car? Is your TTGSW kit handy? Worried about violating some stupid rule or law intended to keep you a perpetually helpless, frightened victim?

These decisions are yours, and your life depends on them. There may be inconvenience involved in maintaining a reasonable state of personal readiness, but it pales in comparison to being trapped, while simultaneously unprepared.

Political gas-bags will not tell you any of this.
