The major components: barrel and bolt, are machined from special high-strength steel, specifically designed to withstand the rigors of harsh environments and abusive conditions. The lightweight and ergonomically designed stock can be folded by simply pushing a button. The oversized magazine release button is positioned on both sides of the sub-machine gun, while the cocking handle can be easily revered to be comfortably operated from either side. The PMX uses a translucent, lightweight, and yet resistant, 30-round polymer magazine allowing the visual count of the rounds present in the mag. The Beretta PMX is equipped with Picatinny rails (MIL-STD-1913) positioned on top, bottom and on the sides of the receiver.
