Madison, NC – -(AmmoLand.com)- Remington is proud to announce, as of July 12, 2009, Premier® Copper Solid™ Rifle, Premier® Copper Solid™ Sabot Slugs and Premier Disintegrator® Varmint lines of ammunition have been approved by the California Department of Fish and Game for use in the hunting zones within the range of the California condor, pursuant to its July 2008 law prohibiting ammunition containing lead in those areas.

Premier Copper Solid Sabot Slugs feature angled petal cuts in the nose of the bullet to initiate expansion on impact.  This unique nose design and solid copper construction combine excellent expansion and penetration characteristics with average weight retention near 100%.  Accuracy is exceptional, producing groups of 2 ½ inches or less from Remington’s fully-rifled slug barrels. The result is the best-selling slug in our comprehensive lineup. Available in 12-gauge (2 ¾ or 3-inch) and 20-gauge (2 ¾-inch).

Remington Premier Disintegrator Varmint Ammunition

Premier Disintegrator Varmint ammunition is designed to deliver precision accuracy with devastating on-game performance. Loaded with our new frangible bullet design, Premier Disintegrator delivers explosive expansion unlike any conventional jacketed bullet. On the outside, Disintegrator looks like a typical jacketed hollow point bullet; however, the specially-designed iron/tin bullet core is designed to disintegrate upon impact, fragmenting into tiny pieces.
