Support Montana Firearms Freedom Act Buy a Montana Buckaroo .22 Bolt Action Rifle

MISSOULA, MT –-(AmmoLand.com)- In the Montana Shooting Sports Association’s lawsuit to validate the Montana Firearms Freedom Act, MSSA v. Holder, I am the only individual plaintiff.

The U.S. has filed a Motion to Dismiss, in part claiming I lack standing because I don’t have any firm plans to make and sell an MFFA item.

But I do.

I’ve researched the possibility of manufacturing, under the terms of the MFFA, a youth model, single shot, bolt action .22 rifle.

This rifle will be the size of a Chipmunk youth rifle, and will be mechanically similar to a Winchester Model 67A (with a couple of improvements), which has not been manufactured for almost 50 years (original John Browning patent in 1899). I’m calling this not-yet-available model the “Montana Buckaroo.”

I may only make these IF MSSA is successful in its MFFA lawsuit, but it would be VERY helpful in addressing the “standing” question if I have evidence that there are a lot of folks in Montana who would buy these rifles, IF we win the lawsuit and IF I can actually produce them.

So, how many of you are willing to declare that you would purchase one (or more) of these (historical) Made-in-Montana rifles at a price of $100 each, IF we win the lawsuit, and IF I can actually get them into production.

If you are willing to declare that you would buy such a rifle(s), remember that they may never leave Montana and that your expressed desire to purchase will be entered into the court records in MSSA v. Holder.

Alternatly if you live outside of Montana you may be willing to commit to one such rifle and donate it to a youth shooting club or youth shooting program in Montana to both help the fight and help the next generation in learning the shooting sports.

So, if you are willing, please reply to my email and tell me that you would like to buy one or more Montana Buckaroos, how many you’d like to buy, and please also copy our lead attorney (“Quentin Rhoades” ) on your email for his records.

Thanks,

Please put me down as committed to purchase a Little Buckaroo for my grand daughter who lives in Twin Bridges, Montana. Your plan to reproduce a 22 in likeness to a Winchester 67A. That is a sound and long lasting firearm. Great for teaching a youngster firearm safety and skill. I understand the rifle must not leave Montana and agree to those terms. I am a Texas resident who hopes his grand daughter can get one of these while she is still young.

Marlin makes a Little Buckaroo rifle, so you can expect a trademark suit from them. My hunch is that you really have no intentions or making a rifle of any sort, but simply enjoy being a plaintiff.
