Owners of the Guns & Gold Trading Post told WCIV, ABC News 4, that guns were stolen from the store.
NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of firearms from the Guns and Gold Trading Post, a federally licensed firearms retailer in North Charleston, S.C.
This potential reward matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
According to ATF, at least 10 firearms were stolen in a Nov. 1 burglary from the retail store located at 8983 University Boulevard. ATF and the North Charleston Police Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the resolution of this investigation.
The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.
