SMYRNA, Ga. –-(Ammoland.com)- Today GLOCK, Inc. announced that Team GLOCK member Tori Nonaka won the President’s Medal for the highest female finish in Women’s Standard at the 2013 International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) European Championship, Sept. 9-13, 2013. Teammate Michelle Viscusi brought home High Lady honors in Production at the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 7 Championshipin Exeter, N.H., Sept. 12-15, 2013.

For the second time this season, Nonaka ventured abroad to shoot in IPSC-sanctioned matches in Asia and in Europe.

The talented 18-year-old has been perfect in her accomplishments overseas and once again took top honors for a female shooter. Using her S&J Customs-customized GLOCK 35, Nonaka shot from the first two stage both strong hand and weak hand and created a comfortable cushion. As her confidence grew during the match, so did the lead she created between her European counterparts.

“Winning High Lady at the European Handgun Championship was a big goal of mine,” shared Nonaka. “I am thrilled with my accomplishment and so grateful for the opportunity to represent GLOCK and the U.S. in Europe. This is the confidence I will carry with me to the U.S. Nationals next week.”

Nonaka now holds three European titles this year, and will shift her focus to the USPSA Production Nationals and the U.S. IPSC Nationals, both qualifiers for the 2014 IPSC Worlds held next year in Florida.

Viscusi again set the standard for the Ladies in the Production category at the USPSA Area 7 Championship. Viscusi competed with her Production stock GLOCK 34 in 9×19 with minor enhancements provided by ZEV Technologies. Heading into the Northeast Area competition, Viscusi capitalized on her hard work to continue her quest to find the correct speed and accuracy as the newest Team GLOCK member. Viscusi continued her march through Production, garnering her fourth High Lady award in USPSA Area competitions.

Nonaka and Team GLOCK captain KC Eusebio will next compete in the USPSA Limited/Open-Limited 10 Nationals in St. George, Utah, Sept. 26-29, 2013. Viscusi will return back to the range next month, when she joins her Team GLOCK teammates to compete in the USPSA Production Nationals, held in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 8-13, 2013.
