Manasquan, NJ –-(Ammoland.com)- NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney continued his recent self serving, Anti Gun/ Pro State Mandated Victimhood diatribe on his weekly “Twtter Thursday” event yesterday.
Making yet another in a long series of outrageous claims and conflations regarding firearms and their uses in his maniacal pursuit of the Governor’s Office in 2017.
Sweeney Tweeted ( https://tiny.cc/340zbx ) “No Mass Shootings and NJ doesnt have concealed carry, so concealed carry helps how ? “
Apparently attempting a pathetic and ignorant effort to correlate the fact that NJ refuses to recognize the rights of its Citizens to Self Defense as “proof” that is a good policy to have, because it somehow has prevented Mass Shootings from taking place in the State. Only it has not.
Ironically, one of the sources Senator Sellout cited in his Twitter barrage last week, a USA Today database of Mass Killings in the United States since 2006, shows that at least two Mass Killings have taken place in NJ. Both in September 2008. One a family mass shooting involving a Husband and Wife Domestic dispute in Camden NJ, perennially listed as one of the Top 5 most dangerous Cities in the Country, and one on September 8th 2008 in Irvington NJ where four people were killed as the victims of a Home Invasion style Robbery/Burglary.
Some readers, and certainly Sweeney supporters will attack this article by pointing to the fact that I could only locate two mass shootings in NJ within the last 6 years as some sort of proof that Sweeney is right. Only they would be missing so much more of the bigger picture in their desperate efforts to deflect attention.
When Sweeney and others point to the false equivalency of “No Mass Shootings in NJ” as proof that the current policy of State Mandated Victimhood is a good thing they are essentially openly admitting that all the other victims of violent crime don’t matter. I have been saying for years now that it is plainly obvious that Sweeney, Loretta “Confiscate” Weinberg, Lou “Empty Suit” Greenwald, certain Judges, former Governors, State AG’s and yes even former State Police Superintendents are perfectly willing to see an arbitrary number of innocent victims sacrificed as necessary tributes to Anti Gun Ideology.
They are willfully ignorant , Loretta “We pass laws all the time we know nothing about” Weinberg, as well as deliberately deceitful in forcing their personal beliefs on the Citizens of NJ through secret backroom deals, dirty parliamentary tricks. Like NJ Asm Charles Mainor illegally halting a Committee Vote last Summer when it became apparent he didn’t have the needed support and moving the vote to a different Committee the following week that he held sway over. To carving out exemptions for themselves ( Again Asm and Law and Public Safety Committee Chair Charles Mainor, a Police Officer) who reliably ensure there are exemptions for fellow Officers to the laws the rest of the Citizenry is compelled to follow under the threat of State reprisals.
What they are saying by both deed and occasionally in an unguarded moment by word is that people like Dustin Friedland and his wife are not as important as votes for Office.
People like Christina Eberle, kidnapped from the Patco Train Station in Camden, dragged kicking and screaming into a car by her attackers in full view of an eyewitness who called 911, and found strangled to death the next day are inconsequential.
People like the young mother from Milburn NJ ( just outside Newark) who was viciously beaten in front of her toddler last Summer, in her own home as a victim of a horrific home invasion robbery committed by a repeat felon.
People like the hundreds of thousands of victims of violent crime annually in NJ, who’s right to even make the choice of whether or not to defend themselves and their loved ones at home or in public has been stolen from them.
Sweeney, his cohorts in the Legislature, his enablers in the Media, like Tom Moran of the Star Ledger, Judges that release violent criminals back onto the streets while regularly denying peoples applications to carry for self defense are culpable . The assorted Anti Gun Groups and their supporters are all equally culpable as immoral Co Conspirators. Directly and indirectly contributing to the victimization of innocent Citizens, while absolving themselves of any responsibility for it.
It is reprehensible, it must stop and those that support State Mandated Victimhood must be called out publicly and held accountable for their betrayal.

My response:
@NJSenatePres @jimdwrench @janknepper No mass shootings & NJ doesn’t have 10 round mag limit. So 10 round limit helps how? #AskSenPres
wonder how effective that poster would be on billboards around NJ
Don’t forget the four? young people shot execution-style in Newark just two years ago.
Politician with former mob ties doesn’t want you to be able to protect yourself.
They know CCW is coming to NJ in the near future especially with Illinois and CA falling. So, Sweeney and the dems are posturing so they give the appearance that they fought hard to prevent. That’s what this magazine ban is all about. It’s pure spite! Just look at this guy and listen to him speak…..he really is a moron union thug! Gigs up Sweensh@t. Christie will veto it when it passes if he’s still running which he is. Support the NRA ILA, NJRPA , and the 2nd amendment society. They’re fighting for us but need $$$$.
I suppose life seems fairly safe when you live in a posh neighborhood with armed guards outside your door that are paid for by tax dollars. Maybe these politicians need to spend a year living in Newark, Trenton, Camden or similar towns where Citizens of NJ cannot leave their homes for fear of assaults, robberies, rape, murder, etc. Be sure to strip them of their guards, drivers, assistants, etc. Send their kids to the local public schools, force their spouses to shop in area stores and make them take public transit.
