Photo ops with Benghazi heroes
Plymouth, MN -(AmmoLand.com)- On the night of September 11, 2012, CIA Global Response Staff contractors John “Tig” Tiegen and Mark “Oz” Geist showed consummate heroism in their rescue of personnel at the besieged U.S. Embassy and CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya.
Today, their heroism continues in creating and supporting Shadow Warriors Project, a one-of-a-kind non-profit foundation aiding private military security contractors and their families with medical and related expenses.
Your chance to hear them in person and support their efforts is Friday, July 17th at Sealed Mindset in New Hope, Minnesota. The 13 Hours in Benghazi – Shadow Warriors Project event will be your chance to meet, talk to, enjoy a photo op with, and even experience personal weapons instruction from Tiegen and Geist—the heroes themselves.
From the lips of the men who lived that deadly, chaotic night you will hear the unfiltered story of what happened in the streets of Benghazi. Tiegen, a former Marine Sergeant who served in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, and Geist, a 12-year Marine Corps veteran specializing in Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence, vowed in writing their book to keep all politics out of it. Theirs is the facts-only account of events that earned Tiegen the U.S. State Department’s Award for Heroism and Geist credit for saving the lives of 25 Americans that night.
Geist and his wife Krystal started the Shadow Warriors Project when he returned home from an operation that nearly cost him his life and resulted in two years of surgeries and rehabilitation. Geist wished there was a better long-term support system for security contractors and their families. Shadow Warriors Project, a one-of-a-kind 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, is the result.
13 Hours in Benghazi – Shadow Warriors Project, sponsored by Real Avid, Sealed Mindset, and AM1280 The Patriot, offers the rare opportunity to shake the hands of true heroes and thank them for their service. Attendees can opt to spend time on the Sealed Mindset live fire range gaining tactical tips from these battle-hardened experts. The evening event includes an extended meet and greet and book signing complete with food, drinks and live and silent auctions for commemorative firearms, event tickets and other valued prizes; 100 percent of the net funds raised will go to the Shadow Warriors Project.
Range instruction sessions are limited to the first 20 respondents, and only 200 event tickets are available. It’s anticipated both will sell out quickly, so reserve your spots today at: www.13hoursinbenghazi.com.

About Shadow Warriors Project
The goal of the Shadow Warriors Project is to create a better everyday life for as many American contractors and their families as possible. These contractors do not receive the medical and financial benefits available to regular military and often find themselves without support to cover the costs of medical injuries incurred on the battlefield and the resulting loss of income.
