Beaverton, OR -(AmmoLand.com)- Leupold & Stevens, Inc., has added to its line of rock-solid, reliable optics mounting systems with the introduction of its new Mark 4 IMS mounts for modern sporting rifles, and expanded rifle fits in its QRW, PRW, Dual Dovetail, Quick Release and Standard bases.
“Rings and bases are often overlooked, but are critical to getting optimal accuracy out of your rifle and riflescope,” said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “We develop and test our mounting systems to eliminate guesswork for the hunter and shooter. There’s no decision needed, just choose Leupold and you’re good to go.”
The redesigned Mark 4 Integral Mounting System (IMS) is a one-piece mount optimized for modern sporting rifles. Lap-free scope rings feature four screws, with threaded steel inserts, to provide rock-solid lock down and stand up to the most punishing recoil.
Long-range shooters can opt for the Mark 4 IMS with 20 MOA built in, while hunters and casual shooters can choose a flat base. The Mark 4 IMS also provides a longer cantilever, which makes mounting longer optics easier on shorter rails. It’s easier than ever to mount your riflescope where it’s perfect for you, not where the mount dictates.
In addition to the Mark 4 IMS, Leupold has also added to its ever-expanding catalog of mount options for the latest rifles on the market.
For fans of the round-receiver variants of the Savage 10/110 and Weatherby Mark V platforms, Leupold now offers QRW two-piece bases. These bases allow for the use of either QRW or PRW rings.
For the new Ruger American Rifle, Leupold now has Standard (STD) bases specifically designed for the short-action models. Dual Dovetail (DD) mounts are also now available for the Ruger American Rifle.
Dual Dovetail and Quick Release (QR) bases are now fit to the Browning AB3 rifle.
Leupold puts the same level of engineering and research into its mounts as with its renowned riflescopes. The reason is simple: the mount is the link between your rifle and riflescope. If it’s not up to the task, the entire system suffers.
Leupold rings and bases are manufactured in the United States and forged from Strike Forged steel or aircraft-grade aluminum. Leupold mounts are relentlessly tested, refined and retested to be the strongest, most durable, and most reliable rings and bases available.
For help in choosing which rings and bases are right for you, Leupold offers its Mount Finder as an app (available through iTunes and the Google Store) as well as a tool on www.leupold.com.
