The HT60 innovative tactical stock brings the classic Model 60 into the modern age
Rochester, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Hunting Tactical, a veteran owned business, is proud to announce the release of the HT60. The HT60 is designed to incorporate a full range of adjustable and tactical features onto the beloved Marlin Model 60 .22 rifle.
“The idea for the HT60 occurred at the same time as the New York State S.A.F.E. Act passed. I searched for suitable tactical .22 caliber alternatives with the adjustability I was looking for but there was nothing that was legal in New York,” explained Steve Leasure, inventor of the HT60 and Founder of Hunting Tactical. “Using my experience from being in the New York Army National Guard I began to craft the design of the HT60 to stay within the legal boundaries and still bring these needed modern features to the rifle. The Model 60 is tube-fed rifle and tube-fed rifles are specifically exempted in the S.A.F.E. Act.”
The HT60 makes the Model 60 rifle fully adjustable maximizing the value for all shooters. The HT60 is the first Model 60 stock to use an industry standard buffer tube design. Combined with a pivoting ergonomic stock, allowing for perfect sight alignment, the butt stock on the HT60 can be adjusted plus or minus 1-5/8 inches in length; allowing it to fit all shooters from youth to adult.
“When I made the change from Rabbit to Raccoon hunting with my hounds a few years ago, I took out my old Glenfield (Marlin) Model 60 I got as my first rifle when I was 10 years old.” Steve Leasure said. “I quickly learned the rifle was cumbersome in the woods compared to the tactical rifles I was used to in the military. It also could not easily accept the standard accessories the sport needed.”
The new patented design allows the shooting enthusiast to adjust the rake angle of the pistol grip (angle of the grip in relation to the receiver) as well as the longitudinal position or distance to the trigger. The tactical design combines industry standard, positionable, tri-Picatinny Rails and will allow shooting enthusiasts to utilize existing accessories not available on the Model 60’s today. This makes the Model 60 the rifle for a lifetime.
“Our HT60 will allow men and women to fit their Model 60 as a youth and continue to adjust it as they grow.” noted Steve Leasure. “This keeps their Model 60 relevant and increases the lifetime value of their Model 60.”
From the HT60 has spawned a huge marketplace of nearly vendors listing nearly 30,000 products on HuntingTactical.com. This allows consumers to purchase great new products directly from manufactures and distributors.
“The idea of the marketplace came from being able to pair together great new equipment like the HT60 with complimentary products from other great brand names like Browning, Bushnell, Leapers, NcStar and more.” Explains Steve Leasure. “Products that consumers cannot get from Amazon or Ebay. There was a real gap in the online marketplace due to the policies of the larger players. HuntingTactical.com has grown to fill this gap.”
The HT60 kit includes:
- Positionable Forearm with tri-Picatinny rail system
- Lower receiver housing with adjustable pistol grip
- Six position pivoting ergonomic telescoping stock
- The hardware needed and Allen wrench stored in the grip.
The HT60 kit has a retail price of $150.00 and is available at huntingtactical.com/HT60.

I’ll stick with the 10/22 Ruger, NO other .22 has the parts/kits availability OR the dependability it has. It’s the AR of .22’s.
It’s the “detachable magazine” part that makes it difficult for good folks living in the Democratic Republic of New York this product was getting around. I have a 10/22 with an Archangel G36 kit… I love it, but it’s not legal in that totalitarian regime. The marlin does not have a detachable mag (tube fed) so this is one clever red-blooded American’s way of taking an “approved” fixed-magazine rifle and making it into a feasible tactical-style rifle for those that don’t care to use some archaic weapon system to defend themselves, their families, friends and community. I say kudos to… Read more »
I have an HT60 and love it. As a person with a smaller frame the adjustability is key!
