United Kingdom – The hunt makes a great TV narrative. It has drama, excitement – even comedy – and a great ending.

Although abandoned by mainstream TV channels over the last 60 years, it is a story that has been told and retold for not thousands but tens of thousands of years. Cave paintings of hunting scenes are an early version of Outdoor Channel.

A new report covers multiple aspects of the broadcast industry, where it can be useful to companies, organizations and brands in the shooting sports industry, from the largest networks to the solo operators who can create a good-looking brand channel. The new report provides a snapshot of broadcast at a moment in time. Television can take of at any moment. A cable channel can find the next Duck Commanders – but a YouTube channel can upload the next viral hit. We undertook the research at the end of December 2017 and the beginning of January 2018

Which companies dominate shooting sports and hunting TV? A new report lists the winners.

Firearms Brand Youtube Ranking 2017-2108 Best to Worst
Firearms Brand Youtube Ranking 2017-2108 Best to Worst

Among the firearms manufacturers, Ruger has the biggest YouTube channel, pushing Beretta’s two YouTube channels into second place and Sig Sauer into third.

The report shows the changing face of TV, with YouTube audiences exceeding traditional cable and satellite TV audiences many times over.

Federal has the top channel among the ammunition companies and Hoyt has little competition as the master of bowhunting content on YouTube. Brownells takes the prize for retailers and Aimpoint in the world of optics.

The two companies that dominate YouTube are Cold Steel and Realtree. Cold Steel’s well-set, well-lit demonstration videos have built it the largest YouTube audience of any brand in the industry. It has nearly half a million subscribers. Realtree toyed with a hunting streaming service on its own server but has now sensibly moved to YouTube, where it has earned an incredible 130,000 subscribers.

Damn can’t believe how Hickok just dominated the #1 ranking. Good for him! Funny though I never make it to the end of his videos.

Yankee Marshal?
The guy is a clown! If you dare to disagree with IT, he’ll slam, shame and use words that will make your mom blush on ya. The boy don’t even shoot. He just buys guns (using money YOU gave him, and his wife’s) sticks crap on them to look purdy. WTF?
