Saint Petersburg, Fla.-(Ammoland.com)- SB Tactical, inventors and manufacturers of the Pistol Stabilizing Brace, continues its relentless innovation with the release of the SBA3. Designed for all platforms capable of accepting a mil-spec carbine receiver extension, the 5-position adjustable SBA3 brace greatly enhances the usability of the firearm by adding a third point of contact and does not change the classification of the host pistol in accordance with GCA provisions.

The SBA3 comes as a complete assembly, including a mil-spec carbine receiver extension and an integral, ambidextrous QD socket for sling attachment.

While the 2004 ATF did state that you could use a normal carbine buffer tube “so long as the receiver has never been transferred or configured as a rifle and therefore is eligible to be configured as a pistol”. The letter also stated that “With respect to buffer tubes, the user of either buffer tube you describe is permissible. However, possessing a rifle buttstock that could readily be installed on your pistol would constitute possession of a short-barreled rifle”. One is forced to ponder how that works with this setup.
