Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today endorsed Rep. Diane Black for governor in the Tennessee Republican Primary Election. Black is the only Tennessee gubernatorial candidate with an “A” rating and perfect record on Second Amendment issues.
“For over two decades Diane Black has been a steadfast supporter of our constitutional right to self-defense. She has never wavered in the fight to expand and protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Diane Black has a perfect record on Second Amendment issues and we enthusiastically endorse her candidacy.”
Black co-sponsored and voted for the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which was the strongest self-defense legislation ever to pass the U.S House of Representatives. She voted to protect the Second Amendment rights of our nation’s veterans and voted to repeal the Obama administration’s regulation that wrongly denied many Social Security beneficiaries their Second Amendment rights.
“As a concealed carry permit holder, Diane Black doesn’t just vote the right way on the Second Amendment, she actively exercises her constitutional right to self-protection and is passionate about safeguarding the right of all law-abiding Tennesseans to protect themselves and the people they love,” continued Cox.
Black has always opposed any attempt to ban firearms, ban ammunition or restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.
“Tennesseans can trust Diane Black to stand strong in defense of their constitutional freedoms. On behalf of the NRA’s six million members, we urge all Second Amendment supporters to vote Diane Black for governor,” concluded Cox.

Diane Black; No more greedy prohibitionist dinosaurs.. Diane Black is just another greedy corporate puppet and elitist that would sell her own greedy mother for a few greedy campaign contributions. While Karl Dean resembles Hillary Clinton in drag and he is also an Authoritarian he has already sold out ‘and will’ sell out Nashville for a few greedy campaign payoffs. All special interests.Likewise Beth Harwell, a feminazi and amateur liar with cast iron panties that began her campaign with lies. Not much of a better choice. GOD save us all from all these creatures. I will go for the underdog… Read more »
Diane Black is pro-secondment and pro-life. I am also.
When I first heard that the NRA endorsed black my first thoughts were that they got it wrong again. I wouldn’t vote for her if she was the last candidate standing. Maybe a little payola or a sizeable donation makes an endorsement possible from the NRA. There are a number of reasons I would not vote for her. So far, from what I am able to gather, Bill Lee might get my vote. Boyd would be another Haslam and forget Harwell, she shelved gun bills and never introduced them.
Not the first time the NRA got it wrong.
Black was my State Senator and is now my US Representative. I could go into the reasons I absolutely despise her but I digress. Never trust NRA endorsements – donations to NRA purchase things such as good ratings. NRA has for years endorsed Tennessee incumbents who had a mere 40% rating. Why? Because they think “someday” they may help them pass a limp NRA-promoted Bill. Black has publicly stated that she supports the “pay for permission” carry permit system over any efforts to restore true 2nd Amendment rights. Tell me how such a person is a “pro 2nd Amendment” individual?… Read more »
I agree 100% that Diane Black is the only candidate who has an absolutely perfect record on 2A rights. She is a Constitutional and a law & order candidate.
