Battle Arms Development New 9mm XYPHOS Series Firearms

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- The BATTLEARMS XYPHOS series of firearms are designed from the ground up and purpose-built as the next generation AR. The heart of the rifle is the billet BAD556 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum receiver and free-float rail handguard with M-LOK attachment points at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. At 12 o’clock is a full-length Picatinny accessory rail with our signature notch cut matching the upper receiver. Every firearm is equipped with a match or fluted ultra-match 416R stainless steel barrel for weight and accuracy and 8620 steel black nitride blow-back bolt for ultimate reliability and ease of cleaning. Each rifle is built with our patented 9mm buffer system that reduces weight, felt recoil and wear.

Setting a new bar, every XYPHOS is outfitted with our new industry standard-setting RACK ambidextrous charging handle with monolithic handle and smooth side sliding latch that is built to take abuse. It is loaded with numerous enhanced components such as our smooth nickel Teflon trigger or Timney PCC trigger, extended magazine release, enhanced takedown/pivot pins for easy tool-less breakdown, one-piece magazine catch, enhanced bolt catch, user-adjustable three-position pistol grip, and our enhanced single side safety or latest BAD-ASS-ELITE ambidextrous safety selector with a virtually unbreakable lever attachment mechanism.

The XYPHOS series PCC is the ultimate pistol caliber firearm for defense, duty or competition.

It is a nice piece. But at $2100 the price is bad ass as well. I can buy two PSA 9mm pistols, put red dots and better braces on them, and then buy some ammo for that money. Granted, this may be a far superior product…..

Cost?

Why no MSRP…….and is that a Glock mag?

Can someone please gently explain to me the advantage of a rifle sized arm shooting a pistol powered cartridge? Col Cooper didn’t seem to think it was a good idea.

Well, let’s see. You can carry them in a backpack, that is to say a regular sized high school student book backpack for concealability purposes, and there are a bunch of those backpacks out there don’t look like something that says tactical all over it for concealment purposes. Secondly, 9 mm round was proven to be rather effective during World War II, and if you have trouble believing that ask the Soviet Corpses the Wehrmacht made by using Schmeisers, which is pretty much the basic concept of the Critter in this article. To that ill add that one with a 4inch barrel and holosun solar powered red dot would make a excellent ladies personal defense weapon if she wasnt proficient with a handgun.i prefer the 17 or new 24rd mags over the g18 33rd because you should be low slung when bullets are flying at you!
