Anyone Wondering Why Violent Crime Is Off The Chart?

Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- “Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security and rights of property; and in general been as short in their lives as they’ve been violent in their deaths.” ~ James Madison.

A Reminder:

American police are not required by law to specifically “protect” any particular individual, in any particular circumstance (Warren v District of Columbia, and Gonzales v Castle Rock).

When police “arrive too late,” or even display complete incompetence when handling emergency calls, they are not individually criminally liable.

Thus, when individual police officers are found to be “derelict in their duty” they can be disciplined by their department, including being fired. Maybe the chief will even be forced to resign, but no one goes to jail!

Even when “derelict” and/or “incompetent,” police officers have still made no crime, so they are subject to department sanctions only.

However, when police officers as they actively pursue their duties are found to have violated someone’s civil rights, even unintentionally, they can be charged with a crime, and not only lose their jobs and pensions. They can be forced to spend every dime their family has (and will ever have) defending themselves in criminal court, and maybe go to prison for years.

Agenda-driven, liberal prosecutors, at the direction of cop-hating Democrat mayors and governors, will happily pursue blatantly unmeritorious criminal charges against innocent police officers for purely political purposes, as we’ve seen and are especially seeing now.

Since no police officer wants to thus become a “stepping-stone” for some amoral, liberal prosecutor in his lustful pursuit to becoming Attorney General, many officers believe they are left with few choices.

Does anyone wonder by violent crime in these same cities is off the chart?

To add insult to injury, Democrat mayors and city councils are imposing punitive budget cuts upon their own police departments. Resultant inadequate staffing translates to depleted shifts, no police available to respond to emergency calls, and no back-up available when patrolling officers get-in over their heads.

Does anyone wonder why public police in so many Democrat-controlled cities are unilaterally “standing down?”

Does anyone wonder why mayors and city council members in these same cities are quietly spending taxpayer funds to create what amounts to their own, heavily-armed, private police department, assigned with the exclusive task of protecting only them?

This evil shows no sign of relenting, surely not this year.

Adjust lifestyle accordingly & remain dangerously armed and ready!

I’m nauseated to hear there are “security firms” who would provide protection to such idiots. These firms should be dox’d, publicly ridiculed, and boycotted.

I shouldn’t be surprised, given the fact that even LEO’s sworn to uphold the US Constitution will sell their souls and defend people like Ralph Northem – “just doin’ my job”, as they say.

Some people will do anything for a paycheck.

PsychoUSMC

Two different firms, Aegis and Belcom, are providing the security.

Government’s actual job is to promote, ensure and further our GOD given, constitutionally protected RIGHTS. When government becomes destructive of these ends,it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it. The consiquences of not having a RIGHTEOUS police force is anarchy and that is the plan. There was a time when that would not happen. Years ago, family’s included Mom and Dad and kids, in that order. Years ago this nation actually worshiped the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and we held ourselves accountable to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY even more than kids were subject to Mom and Dad.… Read more »

Hit the nail on the head as always. I’ll tell you one thing (that you probably already know). Most Law Enforcement are getting their ducks in a row.. most of the guys I know are doing two things… preparing to stand by their friends and family when the chaos starts and trying to find another means to put food on the table for their families. There is a very somber mood among LEO’s.. they will tell you prepare for what’s coming.. because we are past the point of peaceful realignment of the values this country was built upon. There are… Read more »

Law enforcement officers are supposed to be peace officers, they are to maintain law and order by keeping the peace.
Elected officials who want to do away with the police, yet they hire private security guards at taxpayer expense to protect them should be removed from office.
The security guard expense most likely wasn’t in the budget for the city so where did they take the money from, the citizens need to ask that question.

That’s right why do taxpayers have to pay for their problems, when they created them?

And these scum want to steal our firearms.

If these people were doing what the majority of their constituents wanted, they would not need security. It shows they don’t care about the people, only their radical agendas.

Shame on any Gun Owner who votes Democrat!

“Delight in smooth sounding platitudes, refusal to face unpleasant facts … genuine love of peace and pathetic belief that love can be its sole foundation … the utter devotion of the Liberals to sentiment apart from reality …though free from wickedness or evil design, played a definite part in the unleashing upon the world of horrors and miseries.”

First and foremost it is the responsibility of the Government to protect the people, not to find new ways to spend taxpaid money. Over the last few weeks, these cities run by Democrats have showcased their total incompetence and lack of common sense after doing nothing more than winning a popularity contest (election). These fools need to be removed from office before they do further damage to their cities and the Constitution. ask yourself , Why is it the Democrats want to reduce the Military, get rid of Police, and take guns away from legal Gun Owners? Why? because these… Read more »

Look at the age group of these demonstrators and rioters – millenials who grew up with no discipline and no expectations placed on them. Anything and everything they did was praised, they grew up being told they were “special”. They were told (and did believe) a college degree was their ticket to easy-street. They entered the real world where they offer nothing of value to the people that make things happen (business owners), demand a fat paycheck, learn that borrowed money must be re-payed, and learn that most of us don’t give two s***s about them. Their fragile egos are… Read more »

Liberals are, by nature, people who believe they are above everyone else in every way and always deserve special treatment. Pathetic slime balls.

Too many especially in gummit forget the basis for “the security of a free state” (society) as spelt out in the Constitutoin of the US. It is very simply and clearly laid out in that Second Article of Ammendment. That section plainly puts the responsibility for “the security of a freee state” on the shoulders of THE PEOPLE. Over the generatioins, WE the PEOPLE have allowed that responsibility to be farmd out too hirelings, and abdicated our own role in maintaining that “security of a free state”. We have allowed such corruption that now we are largely prohibited from even… Read more »

I agree completely with your statement, however, after seeing how the couple on St Louis were treated, I dont think that would have gone well. The St Louis couple (both lawyers) carried firearms outside of their home to dissuade an angry mob that had destroyed a private gate and marched onto private property. With their threats, behaviours, and the recent looting and rioting, a legitimate assault was committed AGAINST that couple. Yet the city prosecutor is going after them.. issuing a search warrant and seizing their firearms. This is an overt attack on the contributory citizens that built this country… Read more »

Elected officials who place the public in danger are violating their oath of office and are subject to removal. Why these vipers get a pass is because those who are to hold them accountable are in lockstep with their violators. Attorney Generals will not arrest Governors, District Attorneys will not arrest Mayors, they will never arrest the violators who blatantly and consistently break laws they’ve sworn to uphold.
