U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)-  Anti-gun Democrat Governor Tom Wolf kept his promise and vetoed Senate Bill 565 on Thursday.  The bill would have ensured that citizens are able to exercise their right to self-defense without government red tape or delays.  It would not have affected previously issued carry permits and would have allowed citizens who still wish to obtain a permit in order to carry in other states recognizing Pennsylvania permits, to do so.  Twenty-one states currently have permitless carry.

As we enjoy the final days of 2021 and roll into an important new year, this week’s action underscores the importance of having a pro-Second Amendment Governor in the Keystone State.  This was an important step forward, clearing the Legislature and refining bill language.  This will be helpful when we reengage on this issue after Pennsylvanians elect a pro-Second Amendment Governor.

We would like to thank the following individuals who worked tirelessly on this issue this session:  Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward, House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, Senate Judiciary Chair Lisa Baker, House Judiciary Chair Rob Kaufman, Senate Bill sponsor Cris Dush, and House Bill sponsor Aaron Bernstine.  Finally, we would also like to thank all of the NRA members who took the time to call and email their legislators.  As always, your activism made a difference!

Everyone knew the Piece of Shit Wolf was going to veto this bill. He is totally useless for many reasons. When he leaves office, he will be a has-been; good for nothing.

Choogie

AND Still good for Nothing after he gets DUMPED !

Same corrupt Penn.

Can’t understand why you were down voted…..Oz is one of The Oprah’s best friends. Just the other day he stated he would allow her to advise him. Wake up Pennsylvania.

Maybe because I wrote POS twice. Some folks can’t handle redundancy.

At least Virginia had the good sense to ouest the tyrannical regime , this was mostly thanks to the Moms of Northern Virginia wanting to take their schools back from the “ indoctrination “ factions, and the VCDL rallying their forces .
Yes, Pennsylvania, it can be done.

Bill

Big surprise. He’s a member of the Peoples Socialist Democrat Party!

Grim

He’s on the list. Get a rope!

By the way the article is written, I’m guessing no they don’t have the override votes, which is really too bad.

Not to my knowledge, He has been Scum since he got in office, typical Demo-Rat mentality Anti-Gun all the way!!!!!!!!! The Oprah Rino isn’t any better, so Pa better find a GOOD REPUBLICIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

james

Can this be put on the next election so the people can decide by referendum?

vepr

And just what did the nra do to get this bill to wolf’s desk ?

As usual of late, you did nothing but spend money on the Skunk, Li’l Wayne La P U ‘s defense to try to keep him out of prison, where he belongs.

So the dirty nra had neither time ,manpower, or money to spend on secondary issues like gun legislation.
They have to focus on the priority, keeping the skunk out of prison.

Hopefully jamse will put him in prison.

And the nra can go to hell.

Can we assume that the majority of those who voted in Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial election that seated Tom Wolf, are anti-gun supporters, or was this another of those strictly partisan elections where adherence to the provisions, guarantees and guidelines of the United States Constitution and it’s amendment’s are ignored if it’s beneficial to the party regardless of the impact on the general citizenry?

Rural Pa doesn’t stand a chance, Elections controlled BY BIG CITIES, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Scranton/Wilks Barrah, Philadelphia, has been like that for years and with the completion of the Interstate System it made it easier for the NY trash to move into the state to make it almost impossible to fight it off!!!!!!!!!!!
